Saw a picture of the old and new version of this earlier on faceballs they are indeed different shades of green.

Having now owned this for a good while i have to say - worth the money. its so easy to use.

Yes all mine have sound and lights too. bit of a faff though with such little room but it does improve them a lot.

I have an Elegoo Saturn for trying to print bodyshells im completely new to it though so have no idea what im doing ha. Attempted to print this pre grouping coach from thingyverse and it semi worked out on the second attempt, but some minor warping has occurred. Been advised to angle it upwards more with even more supports. Fingers crossed that will help. Using elegoo ‘abs like’ grey resin any tips welcome!

No lighting and very little room for sound installs ect. they run well and look ok though

What sound file will it have? same as the whisky galore one or?

As i said in my email to Bachmann, if various modellers creating a 20/3 can manage the marker lights, why cant you? i got no reply.... Haha!

Ah shame. Be interesting to find out. just seems odd tbh, its such a nice looking model to then ruin with the usual Bachmann diesel lack of markers. better save some LEDs then hadnt i... lol

Will be a bit of a joke if they didnt bother doing the markers. all that effort on a new ground up loco to leave out something so stupid. surely not?

Really nice little loco this. i went for the sound version, which uses a ESU Loksound V5 micro decoder and SWD file. the sound file is iffy, you can hear the sound looping over quite noticeably on the whistles and drain cocks ect. have fitted a second speaker and a train-o-matic stay alive which has helped. i would put a picture up, but after months they still havent fixed RMWeb rotating pictures from an iphone with no option to correct. inside is spacious, with the weights removed on one side i got both the stay alive and speaker in the same side of the water tank. lights, 9466 renumber and crew next.

Kyle humphries did some resin bodyshells, the detail on the body was pretty bad though so i chopped the cab off and just used that

This is looking incredible, wow. its a shame you dont produce it in kit form. It looks great. im currently bodging one together, it will be far from perfect though.

Bet you they wont cut their losses and correct the colour for the 2021 GBRf class 60. I didnt buy the 50s since the blue is so bad, nor will i buy the 60 is its the same.

Pahaha so true! its deffo odd though, you dont realise how much the lack of feeling through your backside makes it difficult to judge your speed/stopping ect.

Ive managed to bag an elegoo saturn which will arrive mid next week. Will be my first go at 3d printing so im looking forward to it, looks like its difficult to get right though. ive ordered Elegoo ‘ABS like’ grey resin as im hoping that will be a bit more suitable for things like bodyshells ect? what program are you guys using to design your railway wagons/stock/detailing?
