  1. Been adding more figures. would post more pics but as usual for RMweb they upload upside down. Grr
  2. Aux 3&4 on a 21 pin V4 are logic level only. i wire a lais aux output booster onto the 21 pin socket in the loco
  3. Metropolitan E class ‘Met 1’ was apparently scanned i heard some time ago, would be a nice one to have
  4. The lack of info about delays is pretty annoying tbf. Especially if like me you bought the LTM ones and they took the full amount with nothing to show for it.
  5. Yeah to put your own custom names in you need to be running the layout via JMRI. Otherwise you just have the standard list of button names to choose from. the reason mine just show F20 ect, is because i use ESU Loksound on every loco and i reprogram every loco to a standard button layout, so for example F20 on my locos is always tail lights on both ends where possible hence i dont need to name them. you can choose any function for those 4 though but sadly their list of names isnt very good. Without JMRI the custom buttons at the top will stay the same ones no matter the locos. if you turn the remote off then back on if i remember it comes back to what it was doing before. its expensive but its an excellent bit of kit IMO. Best display out there, no awful touch screen, and has the powercab setup with a centre thumbwheel & +/- 1 or 10 speed step buttons. you will like it. the LNWI was pretty much plug in and play. Very easy just a shame to need it in the first place as its pricey, thats the only issue. eric
  6. I have this exact setup. DR5000 Digitrax LNWI TCS UWT-100 cant fault it, its excellent, i have never regretted it once. UWT-100 is easly the nicest to use handset on the market. yes JMRI would allow you to name the functions (you cant otherwise) but i didnt want to rely on a laptop to be able to use my layout. I simply turn on and go. i reviewed the handset on youtube if you search for it
  7. Chiltern Hills station at the other end of the layout. Work in progress
  8. Yes the whole layout will be electrified, just need to get round to it. They are an awful lot of work to fit
  9. Cheers, its not the idea was just a couple sidings so i can store a train on scene, however that would be quite a cool idea… hmm
  10. Been a while… Harefield has been pretty much fully rebuilt this year as i didnt like it before. Was too flat and the track plan didnt work. here is is now, im so glad i ripped it up and started over.
  11. Good luck with it!! The one you saw on youtube with lights and sound is mine. lots of work but a lovely thing once finished!
  12. Ive got the file in my done up Hornby version with an EM2 if i remember, sounds fantastic, im sure there is a vid on my channel somewhere. hopefully Bif can find the time to look into a file for sarah siddons soon, have sent him recordings!
  13. Excited to see all the projected timelines for doing chassis ect, will motivate me to finish my 378 as chopping 170s up is a pain haha.
  14. Bachmann late as usual then, no suprises there haha. cheers for info.
  15. Its now done bu a guy called Charlie and a company called Scaleology
  16. Incredible as always Richard. Imo the best OO gauge layout on here/youtube. wish i could visit!
  17. Good old ebay. i sold my O gauge shelf layout in January. buyer paid then messaged asking if i could hold onto it until after lockdown. Didnt really want to but said i would to be nice. 5 months later get a message that a case has been opened for a non delivered item….. the guy says he has changed his mind and wants his money back. naturally they side with him and refund him, yet i dont get any of my paypal fees back, so i have given them money for absolutely nothing. becoming a joke on there now tbh.
  18. you really need a LOT of watch time on your vids to make a decent amount. as an example i make probs £60-£80ish each time i get paid on there, im just over 3.5k subs if that helps.
  19. Tbh i dont know about others but in my case i just do it because i find the feedback interesting and i find the comments ect very motivational and rewarding. Its an awful lot of effort to do though, as it means stuff takes 3x as long as you are constantly messing about sorting camera stuff out, getting a good angle of what you are doing and trying not to say something stupid. Then there is the sheer time it takes just to edit up a video so that its not utter garbage. Im not sure i would say im some sort of ‘Influencer’ though, just a guy enjoying his hobby. I guess some people out there think of it a bit differently though, who knows. Must admit other than Richard of Everard Junction i dont actually watch many others religiously really. his is just genuinely excellent content. No showing off, just consistently good modelling with no bull. More channels like his would do the hobby a lot of good. Interesting to hear you guys thoughts on it all tbf. Eric
