I've used Zetland multiple times. Very good service, prices fair. Bob was very easy to deal with on email and proactive in letting me know about a shipping snag.

Class 13 and class 140. I'll see myself out.

Done. Interesting. Thanks. 👍 Obviously some of the members would wish you had done a survey about the survey, in advance. And then another survey, about the survey about the survey. But eh, people 🙃

If it's the same video I saw he's glossing over the situation a bit. Companies can't discuss future plans that would infringe on fair competition, discuss fixing pricing etc, but companies can collaborate to co-market their products, and to develop complementary products. It is an area to tread carefully though, and IANAL etc.

I haven't drawn the intercity one yet, but RES livery looked good on class 48s. Also my drawing isn't faithful to the prototototype - anyone spot the mistake?

Or reasons not to buy things. Or a meta discussion about the natural direction of threads on rmweb.

No but you can apply them 😉 Magnets have two poles. A single cube magnet can be arranged so that a pair of them will always couple. Hunt have done it with the Elite coupling, I've bought hundreds of them. 🙃 There are some quality issues (reliability of the 3D print material), but generally very satisfied with them and the diversity of the range and the delivery speed when ordered direct.

How about a class 48, the 1990s version. Not the Duff with a funny engine. Photos here on flickr (image credit: Daniel Wright): :

Hornby 2023 - New tooling - Macaw B / Bogie Bolster C
andythenorth replied to AY Mod's topic in Hornby
LOL the entertainment rolls on eh? I really rate Revolution, but you're not going to buy your kids a Revolution TEA for the trainset. 😆 Anyone declaring Hornby had 'lost' that to Mike and Ben et al would have need all the froth wiping off them, and probably all the surrounding surfaces. -
I would imagine they're talking to people who actually buy toy trains, or big box retailers. I doubt there's much to learn on e.g. forums, where it's the prevailing culture to announce all the reasons it's impossible to buy anything from RTR manufacturers. 😉 At least...I hope they are 😉
-
Funny how you lot think and express your thinking eh? All I see is the positives of a nice new TTA and a Salmon. I don't see this gaping chasm of yawn blotting out the sun. Funny old game, toy trains.

Some of us are 🙂 And there are also some people on rmweb who seem to know a lot about international logistics and manufacturing 🙂 But yes, fair point well made.

Off-topic for this thread, but https://anticsonline.uk/Product/Hornby-R60176-Drax-Biomass-Wagon-Pack-A-Wagons-83700698160-4--83700698070-5-OO_R60176_N108532654 (Assuming these are twin packs for £50 the pair, but not 100% sure) 🙃 Not much stock elsewhere on a quick Google search. Just did this out of curiosity 🙂

Happy new year, I see the same dead horses will be flogged in 2023 as 2023. My fault for reading, I had started ignoring everything to do with TT:120 on rmweb as the signal-noise ratio was vastly underwhelming. I should know better eh? Might just go and start planning my TT:120 layout, and run some European TT:120 stuff. 🚋

Digging this up because the Dapol 59s are here (and better for the money than some of the wibble suggested, IMHO)... 🙃 Any chance of a PTA re-run with the 'Big Y' Yeoman livery? Not sure that's the correct name, but it's Yeoman, with an extra big Y flash. So eh 🙂 I did search to see if this was already discussed, but didn't find anything, sorry if it was already covered. Few of these arrived from Rails today. Very nice, both liveries (I don't have any of the previous releases on this). 👍 Prices are probably just prices now, what with everything. But the EFE / Kernow Clay Tigers are equivalent levels of detail and finish, and widely available at £45. So appealing as the Bachmann polybulk is, I can't justify £80 ea. for any more. 🤑
-
They don't open very far. I like a gimmick, but these opening doors are very definitely a gimmick. 🙃
-
Mine arrived, 1 of each Yeoman and ARC. No regrets so far. 👍

I had Covid v1 Jan 2020 edition, I lost some of my words for months afterwards. And yes, that thing of finding work I'd done that made no sense... Fortunately I didn't go on an eBay spree in a fever dream 🙂
-
I meant that it still has people posting "I don't see the point" and "nobody's going to buy it" and "we're all doomed, I tell ya" etc 🙂 But that's not what I wrote sorry, have covid, not entirely in my right mind 😉

Checked in to see how the thread was going, nice to see it's continuing to add pages of nothingness, the consistency is remarkable 🙂 What's the longest known thread on rmweb?

Class 50, By Accurascale
andythenorth replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
Seems there's concept art too... https://locomotive.fandom.com/wiki/British_Rail_Class_51_"Super_Deltic"?file=50425695338_0432257a4f_b.jpg
