  1. I had 413 as a Lima model and sold it on a few years back. Always liked the livery and she did get around, as they say. Duly ordered.
  2. I am the lucky winner of a set of 6 KMS EWS limited editions. 3 x BBAs and 3 x BLAs. I am chuffed to bits (excuse the pun). I unpacked them this afternoon and realised (again) how exquisite these are. They’ll go with my Bachmann BZAs and Accurascale JSAs. You’ve got to be in it to win it
  3. I have recently bought this for my small exhibition layout. I am mightily impressed.
  4. All of the conjecture about ownership of tooling doesn’t really matter. The key thins are ‘is the model good enough for me’ and ‘will I buy one’. I am hoping for more liveries in future.
  5. An NSE TSO(T) would be a great addition to the range! Modellers of Waterloo-Exeter services in the late 80s/90s would love them.
  6. Ohh, what is the point! This is a prototype that has been successfully produced by Bachmann. I just don’t get why Hornby is releasing this.
  7. I, for one, am extremely grateful for the table that you have produced. I have saved this to use in the future. In my opinion there is no need for you to delete posts. Thankyou for the information. Andrew
  8. An NSE Mk 2C TSOT is needed to complete a fully Accurascale Exeter-Waterloo set. We now will have the 50s and the 2Bs so this last coach would complete the set! I know that I am Wishlisting! Andrew
  9. One of our members rubbed off the majority of the blue squares using cotton buds and T-cut. Done slowly and carefully you can keep a faint outline of the square.
  10. CDAs behind 37675 in RfD livery at Par on 07/08/93. These clearly show the blue square outlines on the sides.
  11. I’ll take a look through my CDA photos and share any more that I have.
  12. Great to chat to both Alex and Cav over the Warley weekend. As a Cornish modeller, I am excited to see the exquisite rendition of the tarpaulin covers on the CDAs. This is another livery worth considering. Note how the ECC logo on the side has been removed but you can still see the edge of the blue ‘box’ of colour. We (Redruth MRC) have modelled this using Hornby wagons.
  13. Hi Stevie Very many thanks for the photo. It is a great help. it is now clear that my loco has a PLUX22 decoder fitted. I will change it for a blanking plug and then check that it works on DC. Andrew
  14. Hi Stevie I’m afraid that you have to be a subscriber to read this but thanks for the suggestion. Andrew
  15. I have purchased a secondhand Bachmann 20/3 and it is completely dead on DC with no lights working. I am wondering if it has a decoder fitted instead of the blanking plug. I am trying to find a photo of the PLUX22 blanking plug used on a Bachmann 20/3. The Bachmann spares website doesn’t list these for the 20. I can see them for the 121 and 158. Are the blanking plugs the same for all Bachmann PLUX22 fitted locos? What do these look like? Advice and photos would be much appreciated. Andrew
  16. I have ordered the starter set plus mimic panel set, relay kit, input kit and servo kit. I have seen the system demo’d at the Cornwall Show a couple of weeks ago. I am mightily impressed and can see that it will save loads of wiring and, for exhibition layouts, will mean that the wiring connections between baseboards will be really simple. Andrew
  17. Hi Stu Many thanks for the demo at the Cornwall Model Railway Show yesterday. We (Redruth MRC) are very excited at the opportunities that arise from using Modulus. It will significantly reduce our wiring and will make route setting and occupation display so much easier. Andrew
  18. Bumped into Arran on Par Station this afternoon. I was there to see the RHTT. We don’t have KTAs down here! 😀😀.
  19. Brilliant news. These will fit in perfectly with our layout ‘Hoopers Aggregates’. With the Revolution MMA/JNA, the Dapol MJA, JHA and HIA, the Accurascale HYA and the Bachmann HKA (not to mention NR Autoballasters, MRAs and IOAs) we are spoilt for choice.
  20. A big thumbs up from me. A great organisation to deal with. Their attention to detail and quick responses to queries are a model for others. Their steel wagons are simply delightful!
