  1. Would have been nice indeed! I think this is the first GWR RTR model with lined wheel centers? Not like these samples have been shown off by others a month ago, but I degress. Others may recall from the first release of these, the samples shown off were different than what released, more specifically the inside/outside steam pipes.
  2. As I said, it was a copy and paste from Facebook. I did add the beginning part, as I did receive emails from them and suddenly stopped. Here was my email: “Hi KR, Here is a copy and paste from my Facebook comment on your recent newsletter update, which I never got. I must have been removed from your system for some reason without my knowledge. “Tooling started for Big Bertha? Has any of the concerns from the original CADs been taken into account? Just curious, what has been updated with this new EP? Or just showing off one of the cab variations? Can there be a better video of the motion? Everyone that is out there is either broken or in dark shadows. Any updates on the changes needed for the Leader to be accurate?” I have replied to your comment saying any answered questions should really be answered publicly. I’m not the only one wondering about all of these. Thanks, R” Again, I don’t know why his answer could not have been posted on Facebook for everyone to see. If you look at the Facebook post, there are others asking these same things, but they ignored those.
  3. For everyone as reference for colours. First pic: Hornby R2442, Bachmann 31-201Z, and Hornby R30209. Second Pic: Bachmann 31-201Z, and Hornby R30209.
  4. Well I was one to comment on their Facebook post about their May newsletter asking about Leader, Big Bertha, and Bellerophon, in which they said to email them (instead of answering there). I emailed them (a copy and paste from Facebook), and they did respond, but in KR fashion, not to how we would have liked. For a timeline, I commented on the post when it was posted, and they replied a few hours later. Their email is as follows: Hi R, Thanks for the email. What specifically did you need information on? I am curious as you are not a customer. Bellerophon has had some parts that have been improved. The linkage has also been improved. We also changed the motor for a better one. What would you like to know about our Leader? Kind Regards Keith Revell Managing Director Their email reply was 7 mins later, as seen above. I emailed back an hour later “clarifying” all of my questions. Today, since I haven’t heard anything from them, I replied to my original comment showing their email. Almost immediately blocked. Not sure how their own email is grounds to be blocked by them? Edit: -I’m “not a customer” as it seems like they deleted anyone from their emailing list of who complained on Facebook about the Torpedo wagon spam. -I have been told by a friend all of my comments/replies have been deleted from their page. I did email them today asking why I was blocked when it was their email I shared on their page, since they didn't want to.
  5. Is there any way you could link that post they replied on? Or screenshot the comment? Please Found it:
  6. I’m also surprised to see no mention of the 5 Gold Plated Dublo Flying Scotman’s (five R numbers) exclusive to TMC for £500 https://www.facebook.com/100063533384494/posts/pfbid0VLGKjSoitQFFGehQk4pVsq7qypBiF9XoazrjBQ1JRHNBq4hMnW8jD3gQPhShz8nSl/?mibextid=UUgoR4
  7. You are absolutely correct, we’ve only seen production samples of the FS Dublo range. That was me assuming they would do that, which we don’t know. (My bad for assuming) But we also don’t know if this is true for everything else. We’ve only seen samples of the Dublo SNG. And old?? model shots for the GG Dublo range? What Hornby says and does are two different things.
  8. Bad at first, as they look like Dapol steam wheels. And only did the loco wheels, the tender wheels were still the half half. The LNER green version of the modified tooling A1/A3 had missing lining, no black, just white on the wheels. The maybe good thing is that the Dublo FS range has the full metal tyre fully painted and lined out.
  9. In short, a thicker metal tyre, instead of half plastic and metal
  10. Okay, makes sense. But where does this information come from that the Dublo GG set will have the new style of wheels? Me asking here, what about the painted tyres like on the Dublo Flying Scotsman range?
  11. How do you know these A4’s will have the new wheels? They look exactly the same according to the samples. The bodies are the same as they always have.
  12. Is that a reflection, or is the front part of the smokebox paint black? (Like the temporary Apple Green A4’s)
  13. Can anyone share the catalogue image on here?
  14. According to TMC, they received an update with correct information now from Hornby: When these models were announced the information provided from Hornby was muddled up. For clarity we would like to confirm the models will be as follows:- R30136 Hornby 0O Gauge LNER Class B17/5 4-6-0 2859 'East Anglian' - Era 3 Livery - LNER Apple Green (lined) R30137 Hornby 00 Gauge BR Class B17/5 4 6-0 61670 'City of London' - Era 4 Livery - Apple Green "BRITISH RAILWAYS" But that is very strange that SK is saying So again, why is there such confusion?
  15. Do we have any confirmation from any source of which product code is which loco in which livery? Hornby has it one way, and retailers have it another way? R30136 on Hornby: East Anglian in LNER with LNER Number Era 3 R30136 on retailer sites: East Anglian in BR with BR number Era 4 R30137 on Hornby: City of London in BR with BR number Era 4 R30137 on retailer sites: City of London in LNER with LNER number Era 3
  16. For uninformed, what would these wagons be used for? Just rails (and rakes of welded rails?)
  17. According to Hornby media team in a Instagram conversation (I’m happy to provide pictures if not believed), they will be updating the artwork of R3859 J36 in BR apple green. To what they will update? Who knows? I know a few people have messaged them about the said paint and tooling issues. Hornby also claims the front smokebox door lamp iron doesn’t exist in tooling, yet on their BR ‘Haig’ model it does? So I’m uncertain if we see any changes before their release supposedly this summer.
  18. Well thank you for the response and reasoning. Never would have thought it would have been a low polling item!
  19. One item that I was surprised to see not on the list (I tripled checked), was the as built/parallel boiler LMS Royal Scots 4-6-0. Yes we have the rebuilt Royal Scots tooled up by both Bachmann and Hornby, but not a new tooling of this since Mainline and Wrenn days. No worries, always next time to make the list.
  20. Looks like they are still working on figuring out how to make the valve gear
  21. See, I'm not crazy. The regular Hornby brown is good Not you in particular, but we have discussed this on this thread, natural daylight makes the green-ish shade of this brown show even more. Go look at Kernow's or Hattons pics, just as bad in professional studio lighting They certainly are a green-brown, compared to an actual brown. Absolutely agree with you. Only bought this pack for the Terrier. Will repaint the green on the loco, as again, a bad green from Hornby, again. Unsure what I'll even do with these coaches, probably thrown along the landscape as sheds or something.
  22. I’m going to just post this here. That’s all. Hornby GWR terrier pack coach on left. Brand new GWR Collett non-corridor on right (from the Hattons sale) Tell me again the Terrier pack coaches aren’t green.
  23. No idea, but a 5 year investment already. I just smell something fishy, I’ll leave it as that. Not sure I want to look into the RM thread of the Hornby TT range. I’ve been looking at the Hawthorn sample. Shouldn’t be *too* difficult to move the water cap and hand rails between the chimney and dome. Would just lose the little lip on the tank.
  24. Yes you did. Didn’t want to make a full post saying that wasn’t quite going to work, missing a few letters. But thanks for the suggestion. Yes we do, as yes 2 in BR and 1 in SR, but all three are illustrated in BR. With the 1479 dia moved slightly from the plank positions. Sorry, I saw cream somewhere and stuck with. Should be stone.
  25. All I came here to know who knows about someone who does the SR lemon font for the 1941-1948 livery of these banana vans (along with meat, insulated, and refrigerator vans). Does the transitional pack need anything else added/removed, besides the BR font? @Jack P was sharing images from a SR book, that at least confirms that not all of these vans were repainted during that time and could be seen in cream close or up to Nationalization. With this time period, they were also moved into the common user pool, would their markings have changed at all?
