I also thought that it was interesting that the product is being demonstrated on some grubby weed strewn sidings - surely a 'before' and 'after' shot would have been better? For good measure they could even have added a stylised... No - that's enough of that! It either looks like the product doesn't work, or that it is being put to the test in a worst case scenario, but with no hint that it is effective :) Obviously we all know that those noxious chemicals were effective!!!!!!!! There's what looks like some coaching stock in the picture too, I wonder if they were awaiting scrapping - or awaiting being towed away for scrap? -

A nice advert for gantry cranes this evening - puts in mind of a locally famous one at Monks Hall Steelworks (now long gone, but there is a picture of it in the background in the Inspiring pictures from fikr thread) Enjoy -

With all this cold weather I thought we could all use some insulation!!!!!! I guess electrical insulation isn't what they had in mind for the loft then 😉 -

Liking this one - the vaguely comic book inspired artwork continues! Interesting the choice of traction motors illustrated (no EE?). Thinking class 33 for the Crompton Parkinson, but what about the BTH - class 15? Incidentally I had some of these mountings (or similar) on a diesel generator set. The engine would bounce around alarmingly in one plane, when starting or stopping, but was 'rock solid' in the other plane!!!! -

More heavy metal (machinery) tonight 🙂 I can remember the demise of local manufacturing led to a lot of this sort of machinery being sold off for next to nothing (or actually nothing!!!) Trouble was, you had to arrange for collection, usually involving a truck with a hydraulic arm, and then you needed somewhere to put it - special foundations required! I wonder if anyone has managed to 're home' any of this sort of stuff?
