Jim’s “out and about with GBRf” thread
Shadow replied to big jim's topic in UK Prototype Discussions (not questions!)
Thought you were talking about his drinking. A Stella and after the second, that's Charlotte. -
Sounds like something "Father's for justice" would do. Superglue themselves to the roof (rooves) of Westminster!

How realistic are your models? Photo challenge.

Looks like it. That one was located at Willesden, but there's also photos showing it at Edge Hill and Carlisle!

Went to the MMRG show at Warminster today and saw the new layout by Gordon and Maggie Gravett, "Arun Quay". The flint buildings where exquisite. Thought of CA. Amazing eye for the detail. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/118457-mmrg-warminster-show-june-17-2017/?p=2756512

White Peak Limestone & Tarmacadam
Shadow replied to Ruston's topic in UK Standard Gauge Industrial Modelling
The open fields look good. Not sure if any large trees would be growing on top of that outcrop. Not much top soil for roots. Small brush/bushes more likely. Gorse/Bramble style perhaps. Dave -
That second idea is good, very much "out of the box" thinking that one!

Just found this about the drill hall. It's the English Heritage report. Forgot to add, they also don't know why the glazed tiles are there! TheFormerDrillHallYorkRoadGreatYarmouthNorfolk-HistoricBuildingReport.pdf Edit:- also this one is an overview of all drill halls. DrillHalls-ANationalOverview.pdf

There's some internal photo's as well if you want to include these in your models! http://www.vintag.es/2017/04/victorian-and-edwardian-interior-38.html

Initial question is "Is the crossing in the front right a straight crossing or slip (single or double)?" If it's a straight crossing then you have effective have only got one loop in the station for going around any wagons. If it's a slip, that gives you a second loop for more operational use. Dave

Well, about 6 weeks to school summer holiday. Sounds like you've already got a few excursions sorted!

You could add Weeting Castle if you've got time! Just South-East of Feltwell. http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/weeting-castle/?utm_source=Google%20Business&utm_campaign=Local%20Listings&utm_medium=Google%20Business%20Profiles&utm_content=weeting%20castle

If this site is correct then started by Edward VII (1901-1910) on the estates around Sandringham!!!!! http://greatbradley.weebly.com/1983-village-sign.html http://www.villagesignsociety.org.uk/village-signs/4590610818

Before Mr. T. McAdam turns up to re-surface Bailey Street, I was wondering if the expanse of road in thee first image would be there? As I'm unable to find my A-Z of Norfolk I've used. Theo. O'Doolite's hand crafted map to highlight the area and was putting forward thee option of a small village green area. Possible with a CA village sign? Or a stocks, or even the Queen Vic coronation memorial!

Went into the Hobbycraft shop next to work today and found out that they are no longer stocking the Flower Soft stuff above. But they did have a few odd jars in there sales/discount bins. £2.00 for the large, £1.00 for the smaller one. Also found this old Hornby trackside walling for a £1.00. Bargain shopping day!

Andy Y and the BCB team used this stuff for flowers. I got some from Hobbycraft but not used it yet. If seen other colours. (White\Blue\Mauve\Yellow) don't know if they still do it. http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/74645-bcb-the-final-countdown/?p=1168712 Edit :- https://katysuedesigns.com/crafts/flower-soft-polar-white/
