  1. Hi, I am looking forward to getting the model of Dining Saloon 7841 which still survives on the Bluebell Railway. Will the model be in BR Southern Green livery? thanks Fred
  2. Hi, which of the models of the 16xx Pannier Tanks are suitable for the late 50’s and early 60’s, say 1957-1963, are 1636, 1655, 1628 and 1627? Thanks Fred
  3. Is the Hornby R4973 model of M1712 dual braked or Vacuum braked only? Thanks Fred
  4. Thanks for the explanation Nearholmer, will look into the ladders.
  5. Thanks Blandford1969. Do you know if 92167 was new with a late logo, as the upcoming Hornby model has an early logo.
  6. Bachmann are making a model of 13052 which became D3052 but never received BR Green livery, a model they previously released for Model Rail Magazine. Does anyone know why when the loco received wasp ends it was not painted in BR green. Thanks Fred
  7. Hi, does anyone know did the 9f’s that had mechanical stokers carry them till they were withdrawn or were they removed earlier? Thanks Fred
  8. Very Happy to see the return of the Clans. Does anyone know from which year 72009 had the livery lining applied to its Cylinders?
  9. Maybe Locomotion will do a model of 60103 with a late crest and a double chimney before it received the German style smoke deflectors!
  10. Hi, does anyone know which BR period the upcoming Bachmann V2 model 60964 is based on, is It before it was fitted with separate cylinders in 1960? Thanks Fred
  11. Hi, does anyone know in which month in 1960 92021 was converted to standard. Thanks Fred
  12. Hi, both the LNER Q7’s and the 9f’s worked on the Ore trains but did the LNER 01’s ever work on them? Thanks Fred
  13. Thanks for the offer but not at the moment.
  14. Thanks Kirby uncoupler. Waiting for Hornby to do a non commonwealth bogie version next. Fred
  15. Hi, can anyone help me establish which year W1743 and W1739 were built. Thanks Fred
  16. Hi, they look great but have you considered one of 60800 based on its BR working condition in the 50’s and 60’s? Thanks Fred
  17. Hi, when Hornby released their model of 92023 in original condition a couple of years ago it had an late BR Crest. Was this historically correct or did the loco have an early crest until it was put into storage in 1959. thanks Fred
  18. Thanks to everyone that’s great. On another topic does anyone know if 30693 ever received a late BR crest.
  19. Hi, can anyone help, I am trying to identify the correct allocation of E4 32500 from 1959 to its withdrawal in 1962 as I am modelling it in that period. The Br database website has it as Guildford and the SLS as Nine Elms. Does anyone have access to a publication that gives any allocation in that period. Thanks Fred
  20. Thanks, what we really need it looks like is someone with the actual model to take a look at the interior and see which layout Hornby put in.
  21. What we are reading is that all TSO’s were 2+2, but SO could be 2+1. To be honest from my memory there were Mark 1’s laid out as 2+1 but I always thought they were originally coaches used next to Restaurant Cars to serve meals which were downgraded to second class but that does not seem so. The link below is what we are looking at and you can see the number range for diagram 94 includes 4804 which is on the R4775 model. http://www.easybuildcoaches.co.uk/TOP/DRAWINGS/DR 13.html
  22. Hi, we are a bit confused on this. We think W4804 was a SO which would have 2+1 seating, but looking at photos of the Hornby R4775 model (which are not totally clear as through the window views), the interior looks to be set out as 2+2 seating. Has anyone actually got a model of R4775 and it so can they confirm the layout of the interior. Thanks Alistair and Fred
  23. Thanks for that, is it safe to say that the interior of R4775 is set out correctly as 2+1?
  24. Hi, are E4288 and E4497 basically identical to the model of W4804 (Hornby R4775)?
