  1. Thanks for all of that I wonder if Hornby bothered to incorporate them in the model. Out of interest do you know if the arm rests on the Midland and Eastern ones every get removed do you know. Fred
  2. Been trying to get some sand pipes from Hornby to go with the 1T57 set as someone kindly suggested as they were not in the pack. So far Hornby have sent me two Pony Truck Accessories packs instead, if anyone has any spare sand pipes and would like to swop let me know. Fred

  4. I am thinking of creating a Southern Region Mark 1 Crimson and Cream Set. I have come across set 880 which is 2xBTK, 2xTO, a TK a CK and a Kitchen Buffet car. Could I use two Hornby R4848’s and renumber them as S34261/2. Could also use two R4850’s (or Maybe R4849) as S3913/4. Also does R4847 fit as CK 15038 and R4846 as TK 24316. Thanks Fred

  8. Hi, I have seen the first CAD’s of the Maunsell Dining Saloons. At the moment i am intending to get the model of 7841 in BR Green, do you think Hornby may make a model of the Maunsell Kitchen/Buffet cars to go with it? Thanks Fred

  13. I was thinking of getting Hornby set 247 but found that it was reduced to a 3 car set in 1951, does anyone know how I could find out what happened to the 4th coach S7212S? Also does anyone know where I could find out which 4th coach was added to the set in the mid 50’s when 247 was reformed. Thanks Fred
  14. Hi, I know that R30047 is now 37884 but R30041TTS which is 37521 has a centre head code box but in reality had a flush end I think. Does anyone agree. Thanks Fred

  16. I now know that 5MT’s 73014/29/49/51/96 and 4MT’s 75008/26/27/29 received Green in BR days and 73050/75069 in preservation. So thanks to all who helped me. Fred
  17. Hi, the above model of the Brighton Belle Driving car and trailers are based on 1934. The cars had their bogies changed in the mid 50’s, Hornby also made a model of the Brighton Belle based on the 60’s (R3184 and R4582) did this reflect the post 50’s bogie change does anyone know. Thanks Fred
