  3. Although I don't think you could fit a chip in the old Graham Farish Class 31s. They're just basically a motor with a plastic shell on.
  4. That's got more rust on it than the Titanic.
  5. I've just brought this Class 66 from Rails of Sheffield for about £80. Normally they cost about over £100 and it takes weeks for me to save up enough money for one. Money well spent I say.
  6. 47793 Prince William at the railway museum in York on 01/07/23
  7. Not one, not two but FOUR Class 66s at York on 01/07/23. GBRf 66774 awaits the green light on platform 5 whilst hauling 66728 Institution of Railway Operators (denamed), 66711 Sence and 66784 Keighley & Worth Valley Railway 50th Anniversary 1968-2018
  8. A pair of Foxes at trotting along the parcel sidings at York on 01/07/23. I'll admit the photos not great but you can tell they're there.
  9. WCRC 47812 on the tail end of the 'Flying Scotsman Century Weekender' at York on 01/07/23.
  10. Rabbit at Bridlington. I'm seeing a load of these recently.
  11. So THAT'S why it's not listed in this book! I was wondering why it wasn't listed in there and thought maybe they forgot about it.
  12. I found this website which shows you the types of Network Rail test trains, what they're used for and how they run. https://www.rail-record.co.uk/guide-to-network-rail-test-trains/
  13. Yeah, I think you're right. I can just about see the roller-shutter door. Oh well...
  14. I did manage to find one earlier this month for sale (I mentioned it in the ebay madness topic) but the asking price is ridiculous! No way I'm paying that much for just a coach.
  15. A quick search on Google for three coach measurement trains and I found this photo: The good thing is, I've already got a 31, a BG and a BCK in my collection. What I don't have however, is a DBSO. I've been looking for one for ages and I've had no luck so far. I'm just hoping I might be able to find one somewhere.
  16. I'm trying to make a track measurement train for Draxbridge. Not the HST but the ones that are hauled by locomotives. The trains vary in length but are normally 3-4 coaches long (although a Google search revealed a few five, two and one coach trains). The 4 coach train are normally top and tailed with locomotives (although it occasionally has a DBSO on the end) however the three coach trains have a loco at one end and a DBSO at the other. An example of a 3 coach train with a DBSO An example of a top and tailed 3 coach train An example of a top and tailed 4 coach train An example of a four coach train with a DBSO An example of a 5 coach train. Note the two barrier wagon and the DBSO at the end. There's so many variations of the train but not all the coaches featured in the pictures are available ready to run in N gauge. Plus, Draxbridge is not long enough for a 4 or 5 coach train so a 3 coach will have to do.
  17. Good news everyone I've finally managed to 'capture' ALL the TPX Class 68s! It's taken 3 years but I've finally done it! 68028 Lord President passes through York earlier today. Since I started 68 spotting in 2021, and since then I've seen ones I've already 'caught' multiple times and yet somehow THIS ONE has managed to evade me! Well, I finally saw it last month stabled in Gascoigne Wood but I couldn't get a photo but this photo officially means that it's now been 'caught' and my 68 search is now done!
  18. Class 11 12139 prepares to uncouple from Standard 4mt 2-6-4T 80136 after shunting it into position at Grosmont MPD on 10/06/23
