  3. Saw all four 'gronks' on the NYMR yesterday (20/05/23) Class 11 12139 and Class 08 08495 stabled outside the Deviation Shed at Grosmont.

  6. 47077 North Star stabled outside the Deviation Shed at Grosmont on the NYMR yesterday (20/05/23) Of note, behind the loco is Class 04 D2207 and Class 37 37264 is opposite.
  7. The motive power for my train this morning:
  8. Yeah, it was a bit of a fath putting them on but I'm experienced with that sort of thing as I've built Airfix/Revell kits of aircraft so I put them on like how I would when I'm doing the aircraft kits. No, I haven't sealed them.
  9. Off to the 'moors' on Saturday. I'm hoping to get a ride behind 5428 (that's if it's running that day) as I've never been behind a Black 5 before.
  10. When I go to York, I always go Brid - Seamer (or Scarborough) - York which requires me changing trains at Seamer or Scarborough. I go this way as although it's more expensive than going Brid - Hull - York, it's quicker plus sometimes you get hauled/pushed by a Class 68 so...
  11. Isn't that what it's supposed to do?
  12. Well, that's one way of getting the council's attention
  13. Yeah, we just gave up in the end. Because It's going to probably take longer than 2hrs to get in.
  14. Yeah, the que to get in stretches from the entrance to just in front of the Countess of York. Parking is also an issue as the NRM car park was full and the pay and display car parks only have a maximum stay of 2hrs.
  15. Bit of an update: Unfortunately didn't see 51218 at Oxenhope on 04/02/23 as it was, I was told, in Haworth Engine Sheds which the public can't access. However, I am visiting the railway in a few weeks time so hopefully, I'll see it then. Also put the smokebox numberplate on.
  16. Not much work done on the 'pug' as I've been busy with other stuff but I have added BR early emblems to the saddletank sides.
  17. A quick search on ebay and I found a few. I think we've actually got a load at the club so I'll ask if I can borrow some on Tuesday.
  18. Right, the Instructions mention that it needs a 9 to 16 volt DC to work. The problem is that the instructions don't specify what it is. I don't know if you solder the wires to a plug or something. And also, what switch do I use? Is it an on-on/off or on-off-on?
  19. I've been re-reading the instructions to try to understand it a bit better before I actually do anything. I've mentioned it before but I'm going to be wiring it in the white + single red/double white configuration.
