  1. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway have released the dates for their annual steam gala this year. The gala will run from the 21st-24th September and it'll also celebrate the 50th anniversary of the NYMR. It is currently unknown what the guest locos will be. I'll keep you updated As for the home fleet, the locos expected to be running are: Brussels Tramway 0-4-0VBT 8 Lucie Lambton tank 0-6-2T 29 SR S15 4-6-0 825 SR Schools 926 Repton Black 5 4-6-0 5428 Eric Treacy NELPG Q6 0-8-0 63395 NELPG J27 0-6-0 65894 BR Standard 4 2-6-0 76079 BR Standard 4 Tank 2-6-4T 80136 BR 9F 2-10-0 92134
  2. I'm surprised it's running judging by the size of the chimney on it 🤡
  3. I found this photo on Pinterest (not mine) of a Class 37 hauling what looks like four Ex-LMS Stanier 8Fs. There also appears to be a brake van at the rear of the train.
  4. This is the sort of look I'm trying to go for. I also realized that I should probably put some photos of the 'pug' up. This is the progress I've made so far...
  5. I knew that they wouldn't have the rods on so I left them off when I was building the rolling chassis.
  6. I've got a Dapol kit of a 'pug' that I'm making. I've partially completed it and it's currently in black acrylic acting as a base coat. I'm attempting to make it look like it's been withdrawn for a few months and going for scrapping. I don't want to model it as completely rusted over like the ones at Barry as the loco I'm modelling will have been recently withdrawn in my layout's timeframe. I also want to know was there a certain way they went for scrap? For example, if they were sent to the breaker's yard via rail, was there a consist involving barrier wagons and brake vans or was it just one loco, and a brake van either end?
