    Oh dear, bought a few coaches on eBay last night, buyer has now cancelled the sale, they'd failed to do their research and asked too little. I didn't like the seller asking for more money, eBay didn't like that.

    Where did 'smokebox dart' come from? Aren't they just smokebox door handles so why not just call them what they are?

      The head of the dart is inside the smokebox and the rod passes through the hole in the smokebox door with the handles on the outside. The inner handle rotates the dart, the outer handle tightens the door shut

      The dart (which looks a bit like an arrow head) is the rod that tightens up against the bar inside the smokebox when the handle is tightened.
