Now that IRM are included on the Accurascale website, will points be awarded for past purchases with IRM ? i.e. A Class loco’s.

Hi Andy, Apologies if this is not the right forum. I signed up to RMWebpremium a couple of months back to avoid getting popup advertising (among other things) and was advised about the current issues with one or two manufacturers such as Accurascale. The trouble is that I am now receiving adds from ‘Digitrains’ on every page that I go into and have to manually clear them. Any help please ?

Personally I would welcome a large 2-6-4 tank engine.

Must say, the safety valve bonnet/cover looks fantastic ! Much better than the usual painted or electroplate ? (Dapol Prairie or Hornby H Class). I agree that the one thing needed is some etched plates to finish the model off.

Hi, I’ve been enjoying receiving credits for orders and reviews of Accurascale items, but also have a number of IRM A Class loco’s too. Are these going to be eligible ?

Hi, Can anybody offer some advise please ? Just bought one of these and have run in and cleaned wheels and contacts. When running backwards all seems ok if a little noisy, buzz’s travelling forwards (engine) first ? Something else that I have noticed is that loco hesitates on points and curves analogue and dcc. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Does anybody have experience of using this please ? specifically how it matches with point work (colour and sleeper spacing) and ballasting. Thanks.

Hi, yes, re the motorised fan, I saw the response that you are referring to a couple of pages back. It does sound like a second batch idea, but I’m sure this came up way back as something Accurascale themselves were looking into including on the first run ?

Think I read something in this thread from Accurascale saying they would look into installing a motorised fan in the 37 similar to that in the Class 30/31 ? Or I could just be going mad !

Agree regarding the finish of the loco as stated earlier. Not being critical here at all, but if not too late I think that more of a ‘sheen’ (not gloss) to the paintwork would be the single most noticeable improvement here.

Hi guys, just a couple of observations/questions please regarding finish; With the majority of the loco body being diecast, I was hoping that the finish would have a little more sheen and could you confirm that the wiper pickups that are visible behind the driving wheels will be blackened on the final model please ? Keep up the good work. Thanks.

Just had notice from TMC that Hornby won’t fulfil my A4 ‘Sir Nigel Gresley’ order !

Regards the crew, received mine this afternoon and to be honest was expecting the images on the website to be early production samples. Without being too critical, whilst they will look fine inside a diesel cab I am hoping for better quality if footplate crew are to be produced for the Manor’s please 👍

Hi all, This goes out to Accurascale and/or users... I’ve seen the instructions posted on the website regarding the refitting of chains, but is there any chance of a video please ? cheers.

I’ve unfortunately had some chains come loose in transit and thought I would share one possible solution. i must point out that Accurascale have immediately offered to repair as my eyesight is nowhere near good enough to do this myself ! Where the offending chain attaches to the body there is an ‘L’ shaped lug and what I have decided to do is glue this permanently on top of the bogie just under where it should locate. Do this to all four corners and the result is a barely noticeable compromise which should help when removing the body. 😁
