Still waiting for mine ! Have three on order including SE&CR , Rails have said they are still arriving bit by bit.

No idea, not had notification about 488 yet. I did raise the question when I ordered, but believe that they were due at the same time back then.

I’ve got three of these on order and would’ve preferred all to be sent at the same time ideally. Cuts down on postage and easier to sneak past the wife ! Lol

It looks as if the middle ‘8’ on the RHS is not printed centrally and gives the impression of the number being at a slight angle ? hate to say it, and maybe a little unfair until the other versions arrive, but it’s not looking good ! In addition to the reported issues with the SE&CR I’ve had confirmation from Dapol that the RH tender crest is the wrong way round on the BR version. The Southern olive green has the wrong number 3 and I believe the Southern Sunshine black also has is issues with oversize lettering. I have to criticise as these models are not cheap and yet the mistakes are largely simple errors ! we deserve better.

Hi, I have tried the Z21 with its router, but signal drops off ! Does the TCS have a tethered option do you know ? Thanks.

Hi, thanks for your reply. l had considered using the Multimaus, but as well as the extra expense the problems with a WiFi signal where my layout is located mean that benefits of the Z21 would be lost.

Ideally I would be able to try both systems for myself, but given the current Covid circumstances this has not been possible. I have tried a friends Z21 and whilst I like the loco’s being shown on screen along with icons for sound functions, the lack of physical control knob and problems with WiFi have ruled this out. Should have said, set of DCC Concepts reamers that is ! Lol Already pre-ordered a set of coaches from Gaugemaster, they seem to despatch as and when they come into stock. Got three so far, including one of the kitchen cars.

Thanks for the info guys, anyone tried on these specific coaches please ? Just weighing up whether it’s worth getting a set.

Anybody tried the DCC concepts bearing reamer on the kitchen cars which was mentioned a few pages back ?

My dcc ready version arrived today, can anybody confirm whether the rear tender lights work when the loco is in reverse please ? These are lit red when travelling forward. No big deal really, just curious. Thanks.

I’ve been following this thread and others with interest for some time now and the apparent livery and quality issues lead to me cancelling orders for 60501 and the forthcoming A2/3. I’m sure that I read somewhere that Accurascale were considering this loco until Hornby announced theirs. With hindsight, it’s a pity this didn’t come to pass. I wish Hornby no Ill will, and sincerely hope that they are able to turn this particular project around. Likewise, we have not yet seen an Accurascale locomotive in the flesh, but the quality of their products already on the market and openness to communicate with forum members is something Hornby could learn from.
