  1. The 22 month old twins were introduced to the Vulcan today... and loved it. The girl was waving away despite it sounding like it was ripping the sky apart and the boy simply followed it's every move. I was expecting a screaming fit.

Never say never, it was only 30 years ago that Duke of Gloster was the impossible restoration project or king in Barry was only fit for razor blades as its wheels had been cut. who knows what might happen in 30 years time

      Slohcin

Brilliant display that I was proud to witness.

  2. The car developed a very loud metallic rattle. Mrs LNERGE pulled away from a hill start and whatever was rattling fell off. She stopped and picked it up and gingerly drove the non rattly car home. What she brought home is part of a spring. Not from our car but a lorry. No doubt it fell from our car but was never part of it. How did it get there?

  7. A week without an internet connection. BT says that is the quickest they can fix it. Stand by for me popping a gasket later if it's not working.

I had major issues where they lied (the words of their own engineer) about the fault on our line - caused by one of their subbies cutting the cable whilst clearing trees. Eventually I phoned them and told them there were bare cables as a result of the line being cut and any deaths were down to them - an hour later they were there, the next day the cherry picker turned up and the fault was fixed.

As an ex BT employee I'd have expected my boss to have lined us up in front of a firing squad for a simple repair to take this long.

If you have hassle with BT send a polite e-mail explaining the problem in detail to:

      libby.barr@bt.com

. . . and things will usually speed up appreciably!

I have adopted that approach, aided by Mrs LNERGE, despite me having a hosepipe on the go, got me with a bucket of water from behind. She can move fast when she has to.

      uax6

I'd be careful moving fast around your garden, theres every chance of a 'Ladykiller's' incident occuring!

  21. A few clicks on the mouse and i've drawn another circuit diagram. Step back and take a look. 72 six way 2ba link blocks required. They'll need at least 432 crimps to terminate the wires. Each wire has two ends. That's another 432 crimps @
