      I think it may be a gate box. The junction itself seems to be contrlled by M prefixed signals. Te tracks to the left may be over simplified.

  2. I had some etched tell tale fittings for the end of Mk1 coaches. I've searched but I can't find them for sale anywhere. Any ideas?

      I found an etch at last (in the box marked coach kit bits of all places). Now I need to find where it came from so I can get some more..

      Saw it this week and loved it. Great hearing Freddie's voice in cinema sound. And extra special seeing the film at Olympic Studios in Barnes where back in 1975, parts of A Night at the Opera was recorded.

      When he has sufficient he etches them.

  7. I'm in the dog house. Was left in charge of 3 year old twins for a week. Reported they were well behaved, i'd kept the place 'tidy' and done all the washing and not phoned grandparents for help. you can't win.

      I did manage to do that. With the help of my ex Melton Constable relief signalman we got lots of maintenance done..

      Women are funny things, maybe its the two new signals that have turned up that she doesn't like? Or the fact that you didn't do the washing up her way?

  11. I think i've got away with it. What with Valetines day distractions, the tail end of man flu and around 90 mins of being left in the house by myself the headmasters attachment is clunking away in the hallway every 30 seconds and no one has noticed.

      48 core of unknown origin. Pairs 1 to 10 easy. I couldn't find another group of five after that. Pairs 21 - 24 were yellow blue, yellow orange, yellow green and yellow brown. The termination issue was to do with it being high up in the signalbox roof and i couldn't see the gates on the termination block, i was in a hurry because someone was coming to play with said signalbox and i wanted them to help test the cable, i'd lit the stove and was sweating buckets, doing the brownies ru...

      sounds like old GPO code. Pair 25 should be yellow with slate, and 26 would be yellow with blue/white

      I have adopted that approach, aided by Mrs LNERGE, despite me having a hosepipe on the go, got me with a bucket of water from behind. She can move fast when she has to.

      Super stuff. There is so much more space outside. Here's mine. Built to entertain my little people but it does have a use now and then.. It can be set up as a continuous run and used to transfer key tokens on my full size signalling simulator <G>

       

  21. If you turn right and your train is the wrong way round for the worksite turning left and using a reverse curve doesn't solve the problem.

      Same here. No beer for a week and cough is loads worse than when I started on the meds. 3 weeks now and I'm slowly just starting to beat it. Plenty fluids, paracetamol and try a bit of rest if you can. All the best mate!

      Yeah..lots of odd crackling and fizzing noises in the chest cavity but when you cough, very little moves. Cough medicines totally ineffective. Only thing that worked for me was standing in the hot shower and breathing in the steam..
