    Had payment taken for the Triang remembered Lord of The Isles set yesterday, and it’s now in stock with retailers. Be interesting to see the level of finish on those antique models.

    Interesting that the 66, which is the least detailed of the TT releases that they have in 00, is the cheapest. I wonder if they’ve simply shrunk the ex Lima model.

    Merely an observation but now has a higher RRP than the Accurascale Manor, will be interested to compare them when the A/S version arrives. I may be tempted to pre-order 7822 in the meantime.

    Of note though is the fact that not all of the item descriptions say sold out on pre order and I certainly saw at least four GWR coaches (all with the older intertwined monogram) available to pre order right until they arrived in stock.

    I’m assuming I’m not the only ones who’s model has got the paint rubbed off the front of the smoke box and glue all over the front?

    4930 is due to appear in GWR Shirtbutton AFAIK. The tender has already had a repaint with the roundel.

    Before the plated over Domino head codes with lights enclosed like 55011, were the dominos with the black background such as on the A/S model 55001 just two dots on the head code blind? I want to recreate 55003 Meld on its first trip to the WR so was wondering if the model which has the 4 digit code could be used for the domino code with black background? cheers

    Let’s not forget that even today a lot of the Hornby catalogue consists of items previously tooled by manufacturers other than themselves. In the eventuality that the big H were to go down I imagine that the other manufacturers would simply purchase the toolings for their own ranges, hopefully with better QC.

    Hasn’t the Class 89 technically been previously announced anyway? I know no product numbers or CADs etc were shown but I’m sure Rails and A/S announced the liveries they intended to produce?

    Yeah the switch states dim/bright although in reality it’s more dim/slightly less dim
