  1. Hi Kev, 191 is looking good, preferred it in the old BR blue but hey It was always good for a thrash up the WHL Looking forward to seeing some pics of it weathered and hope its a trouble free run at your show. Whats the next project... an 82 ?? Cheers Lee
  2. Hi Phil, Fantastic thread, enjoyed all your previous pics too. You might try here for some 25 gen: http://www.derbysulzers.com/ Failing that, you might want to PM a member here (if he's still here of course), 'Etched Pixels'. I do recall he was quite a guru on the ins and out of the class 25 locos. I do know they are a minefield for their minor/ subtle changes within fleet.. HTH, keep up with the pics please. Cheers Lee
  3. Hi Peter, Some seriously good motive power on Llanbourne!! I had a bit of a double take when I saw the McRats tho Obviously the gen is a bit thin on the ground as I can't believe there's a pair of 40's with nobody leaning out of the coach windows Cheers Lee
  4. Hi Simon, I've been following your thread since you started but today I decided that I would have a re-read from the beginning as its so interesting. Your work is superb and the sense of space that you have created on Dallam is excellent. I really like your detailing work to the Farish 87, in particular making the alterations to the bogie placement. It would seem from your pics that you have the new placement absolutely spot on when compared to pics of the real loco. Having gone to the efforts of all your other details on the loco I wondered if you had contemplated adding foot steps to the bogie sides? Really enjoying your thread and looking forward to your next installment. Cheers Lee
  5. Here's a couple more... Approaching Scapa Flow, Orkneys, from the south (different days): Wick on a sunny day: Cheers Lee
  6. Hi Brian, I think Jon F has a point. I remember building model aircraft years ago when replicating the detonation cord on aircraft canopies, I would scribe the line into the inside of the canopy with a sharp scalpel. The marks that remain are thin and when seen on the outside of the canopy look very similar to what you are trying to replicate. Cheers Lee
  7. Hi Kev, I'm really enjoying following this thread. Your work is superb (as is your choice of music) For what it's worth, looking at your last photo comparing the roof drawing and the model, it may be worth moving the cylinders back and matching the roof details with thin plasticard and a bit of filler. It's a shame to put all this work in to then have the air cylinders in the wrong place. Just a thought.... Cheers Lee
  8. Hi Peter, D200 looks absolutely superb, nice modelling. Cheers Lee
  9. Hi Leon, Thanks for the great pictures, I've really missed the posts here as your layout is just superb. Cheers Lee
  10. Hi Peter, Just been catching up with developments here on Llanbourne and your topic stirs some real memories, especially the talk about the WHL and stopping for a butty at Crianlarich. We often used to do the 0550 from Glasqow QS to Tyndrum Upper, get off run down the hill and call in at the camping shop cafe for a nice butty before going onto the 0800 ex Oban at Tyndrum lower. Happy memories.... and here's one to add to the collection at Arrochar: Cheers Lee
  11. Hi Chris, Just need a few enthusiasts leaning out of windows now... either that or its ECS for the railtour Great model of Aureol. Cheers Lee
  12. Outstanding EE action on Llanbourne..... as always Superb photos, thank you for posting. Cheers Lee
  13. Peter, Try to match the Amp output as stated from the decoder. If you cannot match it then get a speaker that has a higher Impedance.. never lower HTH Cheers Lee
  14. Having just read several pages of this thread that seems like the understatement of the century! Andy, Your point/ turnout looks great and I'm glad to see that you have persevered with it to produce something that looks and works well. Goodness knows some of us would have given up ages ago. However, on the up side there is now some really informative posts here that will help many other out I guess. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the layout being built now. Cheers Lee
  15. Only one Peter??? Is that a pic of a wagon rescuing a duff???? Well, that's got to be a first - I seem to remember it was most often the other way around Great pics as always, it's like going back in time seeing your pics. Cheers Lee
  16. Hi Peter, Llanbourne looking great, love the progress you're making. Nice shot of Aureol too Cheers Lee
