  1. now released OCWW Arch Laser ALOO0020 1/76 Scale OO Gauge GWR Siphon C diag O 4 Kit (osbornsmodels.com)
  2. Oakland Amtrack station California seemed OK to me but my American friend was distinctly nervous. The cop who we asked directions from was also a bit curious why would we want to go there.
  3. As some modellers are very wary of MDF, I should add only the chassis 'block' is made from (3mm) MDF, all the remaining wooden parts are high quality Finish laser micro ply ranging from 0.6mm for the footboards up to 0.85mm for the body parts
  4. If anyone is interested we have this OO laser cut and engraved kit in development. Laser cut body ad chassis, metal wheels and 3d printed buffers. The current question is what couplings to provide and the kit is complete.
  5. there used to be the 118 service and a change at Tavistock. Now no longer. True but there is no option and to get to Exeter by bus is a 2hr 10 min ride or you can catch a train from Barnstaple after a 30 min bus ride to the station from Bideford. For the record there is not a single yard of dual carriageway in Torridge District but don't get me started on depravation and levelling up.
  6. good luck to Tavistock (pop. 11000) but a much better investment would surely be to re-connect Bideford to the rail system Bideford is the fourth largest town within the Devon County Council area with an estimated population for the Built Up Urban Area of 31,500. yet no direct public transport services to Plymouth, Bristol or London
  7. Luke said I asked the question to GM and Luke's supposition is correct regards M
  8. I will be bringing a TT120 display diorama of Radley together with all our TT 120 GWR kits and bits. Looking forward to it but I personally wish it was held on a Sunday in future. Purely selfish reasons as overnight accommodation in the area is two to three times the price on Saturday compared to Sunday.
  9. if you are a member of the GW Study group? If you are, and are attending the members day on 15 July do come by the 3D printing demo and say hello, it would be great to put a face to the layout! I will be there with a diorama display of GWR TT 120 items that we produce. Sorry about it not being 'N' this time
  10. noted by Woodenhead---------Hornby have plenty of people to be concerned about when it comes to a HST -------------except in TT 120 of course so that is where their forward thinking will be I guess.
  11. try https://www.osbornsmodels.com/aloo201-arch-laser-flexible-cotswold-stone-walling-bulk-pack-42999-p.asp
  12. the GWR series of station track layouts (4 volumes ) ny RH Clarke volume 2 is the one you want. Also GWR Journal had a good article once. AY's suggestion is best if you want the properties adjacent to the railway as well.
  13. Onwards and upwards!’ exactly so.
  14. great looking layout, nice cameos and excellent use of backscenes. regards Maurice
  15. I assume this is a stay at home layout and us mere mortals, (when it comes to electrics), will never be able to see it at TINGS for example so far. Shame because it is looking fabulous. keep up the brilliant work and also the updates.
  16. already shipped a couple today. Very nice but in an awkward shaped box for shipping-------long and thin.
  17. We have every confidence in this new Peco/Hornby venture. Our own range of TT1:120 is ever expanding .https://www.osbornsmodels.com/arch-laser-1380-c.asp Mostly GWR based at the moment but give it time!
  18. I think it is wrong to assume Simon will be retiring completely.
  19. OK you have talked me into it. A trip up from Bideford it is then, tomorrow.
  20. Fleischmann insulated N gauge fishplates should work with Hornby track as the Fleischmann rail foot is also wider than the Peco. The FM code is 9403
  21. A little bird tells me the next lot of TT 1:120 Scale vehicles will be available from your usual model shop (if they choose to stock them).
  22. Hang on to it. It might be unique. Printing looks very good considering the image is probably x 9
  23. Personally I would like to see the early GWR railcars reduced to N and the N gauge 14xx chassis retooled please. A 14xx in TT1:120 would be wonderful. regards
