  1. Good start . High buildings frame it well !
  2. So continuing the theme, I got one of the newer CDAs out today to start on. I thought the ECC logo showing through was a mistake on the first, as these appear to actually have been removed. So I thought I'd get rid of it first. Usual TCut didn't touch it, nor did thinners, it took a lot of elbow grease with IPA ( not the booze ) to shift it and going down to the primer in the process. Then a couple of sprays to start the whitening up. Then ran out of time.... Moorswater cement empties paid a visit . You can see my two new Bachmann PCAS which will need some dirt as well. All in good time....
  3. Always relaxing to have a quick shunt ! Bloody wife keeps interrupting mine !
  4. Are these points available yet ? Can't find any on hattons
  5. Very nice. Only ever saw one on the binliner once and that was 58040. Also saw 58020 at forders in 2002 just before they finished,,,, And that was it, pretty vulnerable as EWS as a small non standard fleet. What colour/s do you spray your chassis ? Looks much more authentic than my usual frame dirt
  6. Experimenting with making Hornby CDAs look more lifelike. This is the test piece which is the more basic older style wagon. Massive tension locks cut off to be replaced, a squirt of Halfords white primer and some ground up pastel so far. The weathered newer style Hornby version behind for comparison .
  7. some airlines allow dogs in the cabin, they are fed ice cubes on the flight so they don't p... everywhere
  8. Hi, I've got some Hornby CDAs and wondered ( as Hornby didn't put them on ) the characteristic side vents on the real thing - are they one side only ? Do they appear on all of them ? Thanks if anyone has any gen
  9. Wow, those are great....really nice. Can't wait to see your take on didcot as it was. I can't remember if you use an airbrush ? I don't think you did. The RES one looks good too, I'm trying to find a use for one as I simply like the colours. I was looking at 736 as well, but I'd like it when it had " U-96 " on the front. Can't quite work that out, I think it started as a railtour number 1L96 or something that eventually was changed to " U96". I guess this was the era of " Das Boot "
  10. Thanks guys, That's the same length as a Heljan cargowaggon, so it's a monster !
  11. Here we go again, if you really want one , and have £83 go buy one......if it's too much for you or don't want one, please spend your money in something else. I'd send em back to drax, they can fill em with wood chips and lob them in the furnaces
  12. Looks good, love the simplicity. Of course you could run 90s stuff too, but this thing didn't start taking trains till couple of years back at the longest. Anyway you could have a red shed, a pink shed and er...
  13. More obvious from this angle, with sun on it.
  14. Never noticed it till Jon king pointed it out on 37242. Personally I do t think it's that glaring unless you are really close...
  15. Could anyone tell me how long these models are please ? Couldn't see any dimensions on KMRC Thanks
  16. That's true. There is a guy on YouTube who posts layout vids and a recent one was T cutting and then applying car wax to the royals train stock to make it look the part.came up very well.
  17. If I tell you my real name , I may have to send my associate round to see you...
  18. Despite Satnav, and the address I couldn't find it when I tried...
  19. Then a whole production run would have the same dents.......they are probably like that as they are almost 50 years old !
  20. Yep, it's on the cover of the club mag that just droooed through my letterbox

  23. Good job mate , A Useful resource !
  24. One other thing that has been mentioned before with bachy diesels is where the axles lie in the plastic rebates in the bogie block sometimes the holes are not perfectly cast, leading to a wobbliness of one axle. I eventually changed a 37 bogie assembly due to this and I still have one that has a bit of a rolling gait.
