  1. Could be wrong but don't think the HST's get maintained at Crofton. They are used on the Sunderland jobs so Heaton I there base, the 180's off the Bradford services get serviced at Crofton
  2. If 68008 is done right is that not the same as 016 to 025 so could easily be used as a base for some modelling?
  3. Many packs available off the shelf and if you there isn't what you want there are a couple of suppliers who do custom order services. The 68's above were completed using Railtec decals. Also whilst on that the process I use is slightly different to that one mentioned by Waverley West but sure everyone has there own way. 1) dismantle body, remove glazing. ( if glazing can't be removed use either masking tape or maskol to cover) 2) t-cut / cotton bud method used to remove unwanted factory printed decals 3) body washed in warm soapy water to remove any trace of t-cut / greasy finger prints. Left to throughly dry. 4) coat of gloss varnish 5) apply decals 6) coat of Matt / satin varnish depending on preference. For me the gloss coat is essential as it helps disguise any carrier film from decal carrier film. Find something cheap / old and have a go. As said above everyone has to start somewhere
  4. 90125 - 90150 were all designated 90/1 at varying points. 90135 in Intercity Mainline livery is totally authentic
  5. didn't get any pics but the nameplate both the DRS and Scotrail version still looks wrong / too tall. Suggestion that they will be here by end of Dec / start of Jan depending on customs etc etc
  6. Fantastic....can't wait to see this take off
  7. really refreshing to see people prepared to take the plunge and produce this wagon , i certainly be backing you with an order and wish you all the best with this venture.
  8. Nice work on the 56, should be oval buffers though if your going for the EWS look, some had Class 60 buffers too but don't think 059 was one of them
  9. Various bits of that loco just look a bit bent / misshaped. Or could just be the plates and logos that make it look that way
  10. 08600, 08631 and 08641 all got NSE colours, all have been done by Bachmann already. Wasn't aware of any 09's getting blue so could be a possibility
  11. they were regulars along the ECML working EWS enterprise services between Doncaster Belmont and Wembley / Mossend. Mainly ran overnight so didn't get seen / photographed that much. During this time wasn't uncommon for "dead" locos to be haul from Belmont to Warrington via Diggle for onward movement to Crewe
  12. Yes a price hike I agree but thats £32 for two, what appear to be, decent looking wagons. £16 for a new wagon in this day and age shouldn't be sniffed at I don't think, proof will be how fast they sell. As always, pays your money takes your choice but for me I'm in and ordered 4 sets
  13. easy enough to rebadge the current coal liveried loco's Like others most surprised that neither Metals or Construction haven't appeared yet, especially given the numbers of the class that carried it against only 4 Loadhaul and 3 Mainline which have been released
  14. Can we stop banging on about price rises, brexit, how many we all "need", it's getting tiresome to read the same posts again and again..... This thread is about the models themselves or has that been lost in the ether
  15. Good news on the HIA's I thought the MLA's had been dropped a couple of years ago. wonder why they are still listed?
  16. Yes they do, 3 different modules in resin and also and etch brass FEA single wagon
  17. Pretty sure that Mr Railtec is producing EWS number sets in colours that exactly match each manufacturers version of EWS maroon......in fact just checked and yes he does. Pack 2234 refers
  18. Just like the real thing used to do an aerosol can but believe the range may well be disbanded now. If you don't have an airbrush it's pretty easy to get a custom aerosol made up as long as you have the required paint code, handily provided by Mick above
  19. Hi David, Only just catching up with this post, really excellent work. Not sure if this has already been discussed or whether you have omitted it but there is another road to the side of the service shed (aka "greenhouse"), the road runs all the way down the side of where you have 3 points already now, theres then a set of points that allows locos to either enter the greenhouse or park up to the side. Locos would arrive down this road and stand until they could be dropped in for servicing. cheers
  20. Sure Railtec do additional number sets if they don't....
  21. Not sure about Ew&s maroon but rover inca yellow is a good match for the yellow framed ones
  22. Harrogate line is ok for roof mounted horn Class 37's they were a few modded like that for working Sandite jobs down through Tankersley Tunnel (Barnsley) from memory there was at least 330, 332, 697, 680 modified as such. they used to work off Healey Mills
  23. Yep only been 37248 produced in WCRC colours
