Freightliner don't have many spare locos sitting around post coal drop off, as mentioned the Russell's traffic ex Daventry is now with FL, 4x90's a day on hire to GB to cover their 92 woes, these backfilled with HH locos on intermodal jobs, new traffic won out of Tunstead, and heavy requirement for Network Rail infra work, generally 40-50 on a weekend and 20 or so midweek, don't forget FL haul all the HOBC / MOBC kits but as they only usually run overnight you don't see them much.
  2. Exact same coach (FGW buffet) ones £79.99 the others is £99.99.... But the real bargain on there is the old Lima snowploughs... 7 pairs for the bargain price of £59.99.... All the best with that one

  8. The building houses the train crew booking on point, mess room, locker room, offices for the area management team etc Was the operating base & control for EWS Energy when that was up and running before everything went back to Doncaster CSDC

  11. We can, and have, run a 66/5 out of LBT on 21 HHA when there has been on other option, only in the middle of summer on a dry rail though. 66/6 will lift it out in any weather going

  15. Think the compressors on 066 weren't man enough to blow up 25 wagons…. The wagons aren't opened by the loco…in theory anything "could" haul them
  16. Currently served by limestone from Rylstone (both DBS and Freightliner) and also Cement from Dunbar (Freightliner) Cement also used to come from Tunstead (DBS hauled) but not sure if it still runs
