  1. I've had something sort of similar and completed in 3 days (cash purchase)
  2. Considering what the largest export from Mexico is, I'd wonder that getting cash isn't such a big problem.
  3. You've gone P4 haven't you.........I can tell.....
  4. That was an old Jasper carrot Labrador joke. "I wish I could do that" Give him a biscuit and he might let you"
  5. Everyone gripes about estate agents fees but if they do the job well I can't see the issue. Taking 2 at random we've done. 2 Bed house sold with a board out front - Countless time wasters just wanting a look around and those that might be interested wanting it at 10% less than asking price as "You've got no fees to pay" sold eventually but a PITA with the purchasers calling every other day with stupid questions, I kept a log of the time taken to do viewings and then progress the sale and it was 27 hours! 2 Bed bungalow sold through agent- Looking in the book there was something like 30+ viewings with 9 offers. I got asking price and only met the buyers once before exchange as agent dealt with all the questions. Well worth the money (1% but if I sold a second with them in 12 months it would be .8%) As I'm selling new houses they can't be dressed as they're always sold before completion. I had forgotten that if I put furniture in them my contractor insurance is void and I have to re-insure them as an empty property which is mega expensive.
  6. Unbelievable what you can fit in a caravan nowadays......... where's the dag?
  7. I don't dress anything, any viewers are seeing a completely blank empty house and have no problem selling. I was reminded of a conversation a couple of years ago where a (female) agent asked what colour carpet I was going to put down. I said "Green" She looked aghast and said " you can't use green, it's too bold a colour statement" I replied " It's the only colour chipboard comes in. As it turned out the couple that brought it had oak flooring laid throughout between exchange and completion so any carpet would have been a waste of money. I wouldn't do anything unless you want to to furnish with the 3/4 size furniture the big developers use in show homes.
  8. I agree with Tony that it's not quite 100% but as Bill posted this is a first test shot from the moulds. I've ordered 2 and I'm not averse to taking the scalpel to ........one of them....
  9. No it's not crowd funded, it's an order from the NRM for Rapido to design and produce a working model on their behalf, it's likely that it may only have the one production run. (deduced from a couple of conversations) It is clear on the website, you either pay a deposit with balance due when they hit the UK, or pay in full at order time. I paid in full when I had the money as it would only get used for more resin and plasticard.
  10. Ok...I'm going to ask the question Are you sure it's copydex.................
  11. As Becasse states I think you'll have too many issues. I would look at changing the baseboard plan to accommodate what you want rather than making the plan fit the boards.
  12. Taken from "The Grand" ?.....stayed there a few years ago and it was 'Grand' in name only. Usually stay at the Purbeck House Hotel and ask for a room in the house, rooms are ok and service is good.
  13. I initially did deposit when it was first announced then added a second, as the money was just sitting earning nothing I opted to pay for them both. Each time the site took the correct amount. I'm with Midland Mole and think you've clicked the full payment button instead of the deposit. Luckily I'm a patient person..........although I have ordered a large box of tissues..........giggedy......
  14. "my name isn't Adam We... or is it. Who am I?" Another childhood memory gone.
  15. Which is offset against the VAT not charged at source as an export.
  16. It seems it's just me that saw "I'm engaged" and thought "Flush properly then"......... Congrats and all that malarky.
  17. When heading somewhere new, they are actually quite useful for the last 200yards
  18. Yes the platform was moved so the crossing cleared quicker. If you meant the Brent/Cricklewood binliners I don't think they do run anymore, although there are other spoli trains seen on the route. I don't get over that way that often now as work doesn't take me that way.
  19. Copy them and relist them on Ebay.....BB instructions are as @Rare@ as rocking horse sh1t
  20. Does it come with instructions...........
