Very nice to see my layout Elbow Lane as one of the featured layouts in the video. Just one small thing though. I'm Dave Smith from Copthorne. 🙂

As we all know, a layout is never finished and sometimes is the subtle little things that make a difference. I realised that the white street lamps just looked wrong. So, they are now green and a new and second staff walkway has been added at the end on the platform. Dave.

As the title goes, I have had a go at fitting a 3 wire DCC Concepts Stay alive to an ESU V4 Micro but I cannot detect any affects. Are there any CV changes to make please? Dave.

Here's how I've done mine. The layout is 7' 6" long and I already had two of these trestles. So the two longitudinal members have notches cut into them so they lock onto the trestle cross members. The cross member tops have small 'tabs' that stop the longitudinal members from slipping off the ends. Three 'deck' boards lock in-between the cross members and form a table. Holes cut out so wiring can pass up to the layout connections. The table boards are the same width as the trestles and thus give a small shelf at the rear. I also use the lower trestle cross bars to lay a sheet of ply on for an off-floor shelf where I have power units etc. and any other items needing to be hidden away. One person can erect this 'table' in less than ten mins. Dave.

I think most layout builders have, as some time, put something on their layout that they felt wasn't quite right. Didn't quite fit in. Well, that includes me and more than once. To tell the truth, I've always thought that the street lights on the overbridge weren't quite correct for the time frame depicted on the rest of the layout. Whilst adding yet more figures last week I changed the two street lights to a pair I have had hanging around for some time. I think they are much more in keeping with the rest of the scene. Dave.
