  1. Reading the MRB facebook page, Met 1 won't be in use on Good Friday, but should be in use the rest of the weekend. Easter Sunday and Monday London Underground liveried class 20 no. 20227 will also be in use. On Easter Monday Peckett 0-4-0ST no. 1163 Whitehead will be in use on Driver for £20 duties.
  2. Met 1 will be in use at the Midland Railway, Butterley over the Easter weekend. Info from https://www.facebook.com/MidlandRailwayButterley/photos/a.416522381712067.99467.416513115046327/1136889186342046/?type=3&theater
  3. At the risk of opening a can of worms, I see the RRP for the loco has been withdrawn and is back to TBA.
  4. Catching up on RMWeb after a short holiday to the Welsh Highland Railway and Severn Valley Railway Gala.

That proves then that all good things come in threes. Welcome back.

  5. The latest Heritage Railway Magazine states that steam trains will operate between Ealing Broadway and High Street Kensington on the 9th and 10th July. The trains will be top and tailed by Met 1 and L150, with electric loco Sarah Siddons assisting. The coaches will be the Metropolitan coaches from the Bluebell Railway and London Transport Museum. The last time steam ran into the District Line platforms at Ealing Broadway was 1993. Here is a video of Steam on the District 1993, that I found on Youtube
  6. The Harry Potter spin off was the rumour that was going around around Kings Cross over the weekend. But as that was in post-production at the time so unlikely. (Also set in the wrong time and place as the HP spin off is set in 1920s New York, not WW1 era London as the set dressing suggested). The according to a few twitter updates at the time, the actor Chris Pine was spotted during filming. At the time he was filming for the 'Wonder Woman' film. (The latest Railway Magazine states that WW is the likely film).
  7. L92 has arrived at Chinnor https://twitter.com/ChinnorRailway/status/704664687577800705
  8. The C and coaches are currently making their way back to the Bluebell http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/O71641/2016/02/18/advanced
  9. Wouldn't surprise me if the wagon is the announced Peco model and the loads are those in the Bachmann Scenecraft model 44-579.
  10. It has been previously mentioned (probably in the Kernow thread) that Kernow's current website software isn't designed for pre-orders, so it'll take the money and the Kernow staff have to manually refund you. If you want to place a pre-order and not get charged either phone or send an email and arrange payment closer to release.
  11. Painted samples of all models can seen at http://www.modelrailoffers.co.uk/pg/137/Project-USA-Tank
  12. Saw them at Kings Cross. The Maunsell coaches were in platform 0. 592 and the rest of the coaches were in platform 1. Apparently the filming is taking place tomorrow, so don't expect photo opportunities.
  13. Seen on facebook pictures of the C class and coaches on their way to London for filming. The formation of the train is: a class 20, the 3 Maunsells, the 100 seater, the Brighton bogie first, the 3 4-wheel coaches, 592 and a class 20. 592 and all coaches are weathered on one side only. The Maunsells are weathered on the left hand side facing London. 592 and the rest of the coaches are weathered on the right hand side.
  14. Details of the inaugural run from Kings Cross on 25th February http://www.flyingscotsman.org.uk/events/inaugural-run/ At £450 I don't think I'll be buying a ticket.
  15. From the GBRF facebook event page.
  16. According to the Hornby website the train pack includes Maunsell ex-LSWR Brake Third ‘S2636S’ and Brake Composite ‘S6401S’ in Crimson.
  17. Is it more or less tacky than the Star Trek train? http://www.bradfordexchange.com/products/917103_star-trek-train.html
  18. Based on where they have filmed DA my guesses are: KESR: A Terrier, 4w carriage(s) & Brake Van Bluebell: A southern 0-6-0 or 4-6-0 with non corridor carriages, probably Greasley or Thompson. NYMR: A BR Std. 4 4-6-0 with LNER lettering and LNER teak carriages
  19. Just got an email saying 'Sutton' has arrived in the warehouse and it should be dispatched shortly.
  20. Whitechapel has arrived, Sutton still on pre-order.
  21. I don't think it has been mentioned but the first batch (R3333 - R3335) is now due 18th May. The train pack (R3398) is due 19th June. The Second batch (R3422 & R3423) is due 3rd October. Dates from the relevant Hornby web pages.
