My own recollections of class 31s from the 80s were that they all looked knackered with oil stains and general grime and soot, will you be doing weathered versions or is that something accurascale are shying away from? I know weathering can have a fine line between looking amazing or awful.
Thanks for this model.
I don't even know why Bachmann are producing this model anymore, it's basically the same as 47012, there are scores of other liveries they could have done. How about a weathered blue 47423 with network flashes to compliment 47526?
After Bachmann announced the nse 47526 model I decided to treat myself to one of these, of course it arrived with the fuel tanks hanging off with broken tabs, so back to Cornwall it's gone.
Oh god I was hoping the falling out glazing was left with the old model, it's just not acceptable at these prices.
By the way have you noticed that the 47828 2022 version has the same headcode lights at both ends now?
Yes that's correct, all 2Ds and I think a couple of first class open 2Es. I seem to think coach (5813 2E?) was in scotrail but used on inter city anglo scottish services. IIRC during late 1989 scotrail swapped mk 3s with intercity taking inter city liveried 2Fs as a replacement but not bothering to repaint the red stripes.
I received my 47004 yesterday and I have compared it with the other grey 47 I have which is 47231, the former 47209.
47004 has really thick yellow paint taking away the sharpness of the detail but still a nice loco, I don't think there was much wrong with the previous bodyshell apart from the surprised look of the number one end marker lights. The chassis is a vast improvement though.
Hi everyone, a Bachmann 47711 has appeared on ebay this morning, I haven't been keeping up with releases but am I to believe this is quite dodgy?

The body looks like the later cut down cab version with additional bodywork pieces attached to backdate it...all very strange. As I have mentioned before Lima had the correct idea by having the buffer beam cowling and body as 1 piece, the gap on this and the Bachmann 47 always catches my eye.
I would expect a class 104 would fly off the shelves, think of the liveries, nse, mexican bean, all over blue, all over blue with white stripes, all over blue with white cab roofs, blue and grey, various greensnd the Ken Dodd special livery. Maybe a limited edition Manchester Victoria set complete with a figure of a fitter holding a watering can. Happy days!
