  1. oooh that sickly livery 47580 is in now springs to mind.
  2. They're announcing that there will be no annoucement in May.
  3. I have a 47004 that had a problem where the no1 end bogie didn't pivot very well as if something was catching. I couldn't really see anything from the bogies or chassis that was catching so I removed the body and dropped the bogie and found two small circles in the casting, maybe casting marks, I don't really know? Anyway one of those was 1mm deep and the plastic bogie top was catching this and was in fact starting to wear down. The other side was showing signs of wear as well. I don't know if this is a common fault but it's not good. I have fixed this by making a circle out of 1mm plasticard and super gluing this into the recess. A bit of sanding both sides and a dab of grease has the bogie pivoting as it should.
  4. The orange looks quite nice, I spent Monday afternoon chasing 37607 around.
  5. I'm confused, I have 25322 preordered and not 25912. Has the number been changed do we know?
  6. Not sure the clear lights in the headcodes are too convincing in the scottish one. Still a nice looking loco though.
  7. All the pre 2022 47s are 21 pin and bodies and chassis all mix n match, it's just that the earliest didn't have cablights but they all fit each other.
  8. Sounds like an easy way to scratch the lovely paintwork
  9. It's refreshing that this limited edition is the same price as the main range and not an opportunity to slap an extra £50 on top.
  10. 47712 did have a square headlight whilst in large logo but only briefly in spring 1985.
  11. Announced in Scotland....mmm class 27 would be nice.
  12. Hopefully the class 25 will break cover. 47487 in inter city would be helpful as would a centre headcode 37/0 large logo.
  13. Thanks for your advice, that could be it, it has little pulling power as if somethings slipping. It will have to go back, shame because its a lovely model.
  14. Hi, definately not healthy! The wheels all turn but holding the wheels firm the motor still spins if I have explained that well? On track if i cut the power it stops dead with a click. The drive shafts seem to be fitted correctly but i'm not taking the body off in case the warranty is voided but yes, a strange one, seems the noise is from the no2 end of the motor and drive shaft.
  15. I decided to buy a 37043 and the price of £180 was agreeable but a huge dissapointment as this loco has the most awful racket when running. Before I return it does anyone know if it's a quick fix or not? i will try and upload a video thanks www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2makEjZlZg
  16. The 108 is a nice model, it's under the bonnet where it lacks from newer models, 8pin, 2 decoders required, no room for a speaker, hardly room for a 8pin decoddr and its harness. And those crazy copper contacts that are in the way and just want to snap off.
  17. I think the 108 will be first in line for a badly needed upgrade and I predict mk2a coaches with lights and possibly mk1s too.
  18. Bachmann have a D1842 body for sale on the spares website, £57 though
  19. I have had a quick look on flickr and Bachmann have it correct
  20. our council hand deliver those type of letters!
