  1. My photo of the roof of the steam railmotor:
  2. I think what you are seeing as a first class sausage may actually be a trick of the light/flash reflection from the edge of the glazing?
  3. Could be a C61 60' bow-end third of 1930. There is a diagram on page 148 of Russell Part 2. Described as "extra wide non-corridor stock formed into sets for London, Birmingham and South Wales cross-country services. Compartments are 6'6" in length".
  4. Which thickness of plastikard do you use for the 'W' irons Scott?

  6. From 'Great Western Echo' - Winter 1968: "Painting of GWR Locomotives This information is taken from a directive of the CM&EE's Department, Swindon, dated July 3rd, 1947. Black .....Firebox back. Green ..... Cabsides, front and back (inside and outside). Cab roof inside."
  7. There was a 'SPAD' at Winchcombe in one of the new episodes this week.Father Brown prevented a man from jumping off the platform in front of a non-stop train. 12. The OP might find this document from the London division local carriage working book interesting. GWR London Autos & Railcars 1937-8.pdf
  13. Thanks Trevor It's definitely an excellent resource. Following my enquiry they found five drawings for the goods shed I'm after. Not bad, considering the building hasn't existed for about forty years!
  14. May I ask what size and format you had it printed in? I want to purchase drawings of another goods shed from there but there are so many different options I'd like to get some idea of the best way to have it done.
  15. A quick query - if I may? Does this volume just cover these vehicles in the post-1948 period or does it also have information useful for the pre-nationalisation era?
  16. I remember this from 1973 when the GWS ran 6106 and 6998 Burton Agnes Hall top and tail up to Bourne End for the Marlow branch centenary.
  17. I suppose it was inevitable that Aberdeen would have 4472/60103 running through the clouds!
