If it helps Chris, I saw the photo first and thought Bodmin/Wadebridge so you're doing something right.
-
Nice conversions / creations Muz. Pity I can't make Taunton....
-
Still waiting for news on that one Geoff... unlikely to need running stock though ;-) Venue would be close to you though....
-
Well I ordered mine on Sunday evening and they arrived in today's post. Very good service.

Many thanks for the shout on these Graham, I've now got a few on order for some of the 2manyspams fleet. Interesting that he also does the Giesl for 34064 and the outside steampipes etc for the N Class.

Invites updated.....

John
Thanks for the kind comments! We're at Warley 2011 if you can wait that long. If you look at the invites on the other blog entry you may find something sooner.
Sorry, no, the layout is nowhere near 'Brizol', try north of Newark! Make sure you say hello though if you see us at a show.
All the best Chris

Gosh, it looks alot better than what it's going to connect too - errm, I did tell you Combwich is EM didn't I?
Just progressively widen the track out from OO to EM along the length of the cassette ;-) Sorted....

Ah CK, you missed the ATSF 2-10-0 running on Treneglos on Saturday then and previously, for a bit of fun, we have had Class 50's, King Arthurs and some great western stuff. Oh, not forgetting the first Wadebridge where we had 3 different 34007's (Wadebridge) and a Bulleid Leader running at one point! But, yes for the most point we do running prototypical locos and coach rakes, although the coaching mix isn't quite right yet as we're short of Bulleids. I think we've taken this approach because, having done the research, it always eats away when there's something not quite right, and of course there's always the exhibition punters who 'were there' to pull you up for errors. We did toy with the idea a while back of running the layout in a NSE period as though the line had survived....
But i did like the alternative, more liberal approach to on Engine Wood too.

Very nice Barry. I can see the track plan being transported to seafront Cornwall, with the station set above the promenade on a wall / cliff... got me thinking

Very nice

Normally I'd be more interested in "once upon a time in the west MIDLANDS" but with layouts of the quality of these it'd be a pleasure to have a play with the third train set
BTW how's your EM project?
EM project is a pile of bits waiting for me to have the time to start! Got 2 locos converted though and some rtr track. Geoff made a common crossing and point blades for me - very nice too.
Once I've got the new Treneglos fiddles out of the way, worked on Damian's buildings, done scenery and buildings on John's layout the house extension including train room should be finished and I'll at long last have somewhere for all my stuff! Realistically I think we're looking at this time next year before i do anything on a layout of my own but I'm still modelling!
PS playing with John's layout requires wearing a poncho and six shooters......
-
Looking forward to helping out with DitD at Showcase; might even bring a couple of guest locos to invade again too
I said I'd do the same for Damian too but he muttered something about 'trash compactors'. Be good to see you, we'll have to enrol you for the 3rd layout too......
-
I'll pop my head over the parapet at Railex Chris. It will be nice to see you mate.
Be good to see you too Rob - don't forget your GWR socks that you owe Andy Y....
-
Certainly are but it's still well over a year away!
...I think we were invited 3+ years in advance of the show. Amazing how other shows still don't issue formal invites until weeks before the show.

The only thing that put me off doing this 'conversion' myself is that the 8F chassis doesn't really have the right cylinders on it for a Z. I did do the W class using an N chassis but the cylinders and wheel spacings never looked right to me and it now sits in a box unloved!
Will be interested to see how your Z turns out though - nice job so far.
-
Good to see you on here Mr Ross. Will 50021 and 50046 be joining you?
You can help only after we've finished your layout, built John's and invested in some sandpaper!
-
Nice to see you getting in some modelling time - messing with servers must get dull at some point

So how did Warley go Muz???

Surely you also need a few Southern vans too with their distinctive roof profile. And a few LMS and LNER if you must...
