Anybody got a photo of the Dutch liveried model please?
-
I thought decorated samples of these were due before the end of May, can't be long now till these are released?

Thanks for the introduction Will, I'm very pleased to have been able to take on the layout at this stage and looking forward to making some more progress which I will document on this thread.
Will has done a fantastic job with the layout, it's going to be a tough order to keep the standards this high!
I hope to get the frogs from the points wired up this week.
Here's some photos of 517 on the layout..

Missed a trick not releasing anymore 90's, 47's or 37's. Come to think of it, could of had more 150's and 158's too - disappointing announcement generally.

Does anyone know what sound chip is fitted to the factory sound releases please? Is it a V5 or one of the Loksound ones that can't be reblown?
Thanks,
Chris

Really nice work here Jerry, I particularly like the faded 20.

057 is coming along a treat Jerry, interesting to see the processes behind the work.
Many thanks,

The 25 doesn't really fit into the era I model, nonetheless I'll probably be pre-ordering one of these once I've decided on which livery. This level of detail and finesse is like nothing we've seen before.

Nice work on the GC 90 Jerry, a striking livery that one.

Romanian builds ended at 56030.
RoyYes I know that, I was making the point that Hornby have produced models that span all the build sites. There's definitely been 56003, 56049 and 56128 in the range.

Technically, the two BR blue 56s should have different cab fronts. Have they as the graphics certainly suggest it ?
A 56047 would be nice
I think they will as the Romanian and Donny/Crewe built locos have been produced by Hornby in the range before.

2021 hopes
in Hornby

Hornby - just release more stuff with the good tools you have . Class 56 large logo, transrail. Class 60 transrail without sound , class 31 blue with headcode box .....whilst at it , get rid of 8 pin DCC sockets.
Can’t see the old 58 coming back , just so they have something to put a TTS in - egg before chicken . And even the decent version by Heljan , was of such great sales power to them , they sub leased it to EFE , thus washing their hands .
Completely agree with all of this - just more 56's and 60's please. Always the focus on the steam era stuff, yet neglecting good models which will sell.

Just more 56's please, that is all.

Less modern era stuff and more privitisation models would be welcomed. There are still plenty of liveries for the 60 and 56 in particular that haven't been released yet!

Al.
At this rate it's cheaper to get one of the current models resprayed than to buy one off the well known auction site.
