Very nice Matthew,
I had a bit of a Great Eastern day, picking up kits for a GER open, a special cattle van and a wool wagon (Powsides, D&S, and Ragstone respectively) the GER open and the wool wagon were E&T finds with the bonus that the open had half a dozen GER ground signals nicely made up and painted wrapped up inside the box - it also contained a set of new Slaters wheels and all for only

Beautiful Job!

Hi Matthew,
The garden looks great, I especially like the Claud!. It was great to meet up with you at Kidderminster last weekend.
-
It looks pretty good to me Peter - nice and busy!
-
The paint finish is lovely Peter

Excellent start, I built one of these recently and it's a nice kit to put together. You will very quickly wonder what all the fuss was about regarding soldering - I ummed and ahhed for some time about my lack of soldering ability and as with many things, the worrying about it is far worse than the doing.
I look forward to further progress.

It looks superb Matthew, well worth the wait.
Another one of my long term desires..... but I had a best build some of what I have first.

Looking good from here Peter!

Hi Matthew,
I am sure he would and no doubt he would make a better job of it than me but the building is where I get my pleasure.
One of these fine days one of his kits will be come up (when I can afford it I hope) and I will add it to the stash.

Very nice, it's a real shame that Mike withdrew these kits from sale

Very nice Kev, I have two or three Parkside GWR vans in my stash to add a bit of variety to my fleet and a couple of Southern too I think.

Lovely Peter!

The lining looks excellent Peter, looking forward to see it all come togther.

A proper silk purse job Peter.

It was worth the time taken Peter, very nice!!

It's starting to look the part Peter. Very nicely done with the sloping firebox top.

Hi Peter,
Looking at the compensation beam on the tender chassis, I assume that it rubs on the top of the axles allowing side to side as well as fore and aft movement?
Does it not also create friction/drag?
Regards Rob

it looks mighty fine to me Peter, I may yet be tempted to do mine in the same colour.
-
That's a very nice shade of blue, Peter. I chickened out of doing my S&D horse box in bue and did it LMS crimson instead - which reminds me that still needs lining too!
-
It's coming along nicely Peter.

Sorry about the delay Ian, I had a busy week at work this week.
This is what you get in the box.
-
Hi Ian, I haven't but I can take some.
-
That looks very tasty, I picked up a Meteor Sentinel at Halifax and thought that I may need a set of these myself. But having looked at the etches it does have brake gear inlcuded - not as nice as them though.

Hi Peter,
I will watch this keenly, as I received one of the as a Christmas give last year.

The whitemetal slidebars etc. is why I took up the option of lost wax versions for my C1 Atlantic. I am having similar issues with oversized holes on a G5 that I am building for a friend.
