  1. I agree with you Micheal Hodgson. There should be a crossover so that you can get from down slow to the down goods. And there should also be one going from up Goods to up slow. Terry

  8. I have just checked my model and both crests are facing left. I have also checked through the following book that is a great read "The Great Western Railways Gas Turbines, A Myth Exposed" by Kevin Robertson, at the photographs that are in aforementioned book and all the pictures do show that the BR crest is facing to the let on both sides. I am not sure if the book is still in print but I have just done an internet search and you can get it on the second hand market. This also covers the other gas turbine locomotive 18100. Terry
  9. I personal think that night photograph can create some great atmospheric images. Terry.
  10. My Model arrived today. I so far have not had found an defects on it, but I do wonder how long before the whistle gose missing as it seams to be a weak point being made of plastic. It is currently on the rolling road have time to run in. And before anybody as I purchased the "Gauge-master" controller from a boot sale very cheap, as I have no layout to run the model on it is the best thing in my situation. It is a late birthday present to my self. Terry.

  21. Unfortunately the speedometers are independent to each cab. If the leading engine was shut down due to a fault that is why he was wheel slipping. The only time the speedometer in the leading cab will indicate the speed for that end only. The only question I ask the "Westerns" have two engines fitted, and should have two rev-counters Engine A and B, but I believe that some only had one fitted later in there careers due failure of the gauges. Terry.
  22. That is why they need t engines to haul a train. But I have seen this clip before. Terry.
  23. D0260 "Lion" by BRCW/AEI was the test bed for the 12 LDA engine, the only thing that changed was the control gear was changed to "Brush" control equipment in the production loco's. Terry
