  1. A colleague of mine has all the Class 50s plus some duplicate numbers in different liveries. I'm sure he said he had almost 70 in total. That's in OO, he also has a few in O.
  2. A couple of Class 60 names: 60021 60040 60045 60052 60054
  3. It’s not representative of the actual location of the building , it’s just the way the names of various landmarks like bridges, roads, rivers etc are presented I.e at the bottom of the diagram. I suppose it is strange that the diagram goes left to right, (Reading Oxford Rd Jn > Westbury Station) you would expect North to be at the top and therefore the diagram would be followed right to left.
  4. Email received from Key Publishing: Volume 10 in the Modelling British Railways series is available to preorder now (expected release date - 05/10/23). This volume is all about modelling diesel depots. https://shop.keypublishing.com/collections/coming-soon/products/modelling-british-railways-diesel-depots
  5. Nah, we’re fine with unbelievers! Honest 😇 Disclaimer: No Rob D2s were harmed in the making of this post! 🤣🤣
  6. Well done team! Some great subliminal messaging here for the AS team! 😉😉
  7. Oops, something hasn’t worked then! The pantograph on 800316 lost an argument with a bridge on the Westbury side of Newbury today.
  8. Would I be right then, in thinking, that these Balises weren’t installed in the Newbury area?
  9. 😂 I saw that Facebook post too and immediately this thread sprang to mind!
  10. Question for @Accurascale Fran @McC I have the DCC ready variant 50007 on order, already paid for. In the future, if I wanted to install a sound chip, would I need to buy a speaker separately or are there normal speakers already pre fitted please?
  11. My Loch Lomond arrived from Sheffield early doors this morning after a posting notification yesterday. Everything about it, from the packaging, the enclosed documentation to the actual Loco itself is suitably impressive! 😁 Well done to the AS team!
  12. Is that just the direct orders almost complete? Have the retailers (i.e RoS) got theirs on the way as well or is that the next big dispatch job for the warehouse?
  13. Reading was the main (only?) Signalling works for the GWR so Reading is probably a good bet for the other wagons as well.
  14. The GWR 166s have just commenced their refresh program at Wolverton. 166215 being the first, 166221 is next in line. All the 166 which remain in the above blue should reemerge from their time at Wolverton wearing green.
  15. A typo? Heathrow Express liveried units are 387s: 387130 SAN FRANCISCO 387131 SYDNEY 387132 NEW YORK 387133 TOKYO 387134 BARCELONA 387135 ROME 387136 PARIS 387137 AMSTERDAM 387138 LAS VEGAS 387139 DUBLIN 387140 LONDON 387141 PRAGUE As an aside, being that 166221 "Reading Train Care Depot" is allocated to St Phillips Marsh and has been for some time, IMO I think that name should transfer to one of Reading's Class 387. It would make sense, as well, to do it this year as it marks 10 years of operations at Reading TCD.
  16. Nothing posted for 19 days, means this thread is well overdue for…….. Original photos on Flickr, acknowledgements to: Paul Bettany (40106) Leighton Logs (40122)
  17. After being thwarted by Nuneham Viaduct to remove the last of the GWR 769s from Reading TCD (the moves were supposed to take place the day the line was closed). This last week has seen the removal (by road) of the final three 769s. 769959 being the last unit to go and the final two vehicles of 959 were removed Friday morning (09/06). Reading is now a 769 free area! A mix of my photos and some from colleagues of the previous moves and the final move: That’s all folks!
  18. A visit to the fence lines of RAF Fairford & RAF Brize Norton: USAF B-1B Bombers currently on deployment. Soon to be retired RAF C-130Js & a Omani C-130H
  19. It landed on my doorstep just after 0800 this morning! It is, as they say, the bees knees. I do like the little certificate as well, nice touch! 😁
  20. I’m in that club too. Got diagnosed end of 2019 with a tumour in the tube between bladder & left kidney. Luckily the ‘Big C’ was so low grade it was more of ‘lower case c’ and it was caught very early on. One op later and it was all gone (along with one kidney) and every check since has been clear - I’m now on annual checks as opposed to every three months. Again I can only reiterate what others have said, if you have any doubts, signs or symptoms get yourself to your GP and get it checked out!
  21. Yay, had notification today that my ENPARTS exclusive is on its way! 😁😁
  22. Agree, ordered the BR Blue Newspaper version late Sunday night, arrived just after lunchtime Tuesday! Great service. Not had notification yet of dispatch of pre-order (the enparts exclusive) which was ordered when it was released. not a criticism btw, I appreciate its probably not been unpacked yet or is awaiting processing by the dispatch team.
