February/March time is the latest estimated date, don't forget they have a fair few other models to produce with limited capactiy - it is always likely things will slip. 6 months is still less time then if you got a kit builder to make one for you (and will probably cost you more). The plus side is more time to save up for them.

This will please my dad, he is on holiday and ordered a huge batch of these (think 1 of each) so he won't get the call or will be away when the postie comes - can't let him know incase my mam overhears

The nice weather of these last two evenings have given me a chance to weather an LNER O4 2-8-0 and Midland 3F 0-6-0, whn the main paint has dried and I have had chance to do some touching up with hand painting and powders I will post some pics.

Weather forecast is promising this evening so I might get the airbrush out and weather a loco before Shildon show in a months time.

Just out of idle curiosity what body shell are people sending the dutch 31 back getting? Obviously they have done 2 green skinheads and numnerous weathered blue models but I cannot recall a second Dutch 31 that would provide replacement bodies.

Bachamnn's website does not show any planned delivery date yet, nor has there been any sign of even a CAD drawing for them so we are still a good year or so away from the models hitting the shops I would guess. Better fit some flood defences to your mouth

I had 2 replaced, mine were about 1 year ago, seems like I just got lucky in having mine turned around.

Does anyone of of a maker of 4mm/OO Gauge Lancashire & Yorkshire signal box and station kits?

I had the same request when I sent my 2 back, naturally I did not have receipts for them and as I run my locos not collect, boxes tend to go after about 18months to make space for newer ones. I just put a letter in with the models saying I did not have the boxes or receipts. The damage to both was obvious to see and they replaced them without quibble - only thing they did was state "as one of them did not have a fan in place they could not supply a model with the fan" which was fair enough as I had taken it out to fit a sound chip. So hopefully you will not have a problem with sending yours back.

Why do all my pre-order's arrive at once? No sooner have I got my 08 from the Signal Box then Kernow email me to say the first lot Blue/Grey NSE Mk2's have been dispatched. Need a new secret address to get all these packages sent to.

Funny as I would rather have weathered with sound, perhaps we should order 1 each and do some kind of swapping of parts.

Has managed to fit a 4-way extension plug in the loft and now has working lights and a train set up there! It will be a model railway when I lift it off the floor, enlarge it and put some scenics on it but it will do for now.

is getting worried. First my better half says "I have earned my trip to Railfest tomorrow" then asks what my plans were for a model railway in the loft, sounds like I am onto a winner here!

Bachmann tend to offer one model per tooling as DCC fitted now (L&Y tank and D11/2 springs to mind), the 2 black one's are different in appearence - one is as preserved and 1 is weathered so either of these would have had the same situation. They do supply the blanking plate so you can take the chip out and sell it

Whilst not one of the most asthetically pleasing locos, it does fit the bill of a nice small tank engine. I have ridden behind a few of these in preservation and they certainly run well. I may end up buying one of these not totally decided yet - either way I hope it does as well as the Sentinel.

in the last 24 hours I have weathered 4 box vans, 9 coal wagons, 6 14T tankers, 4 China Clay Wagons and 2 Brake Vans. Will post some pics when the paint has properly dried.

30 minutes till the weekend starts. Tonght I will be in the back yard weathering 4 Bachmann box vans - my first real attempt at weathering.

Bachmann Collectors Club special model perhaps? I can imagine someone would comission a model of it sometime.

has had an offer made on a house accepted, Sadly SWMBO will not allow me to have one of the bedrooms so looks like I will be taking over the loft, hope it can handle the weight.
