They don't appear to have much in development locomotiv wise so the backlog is clearing, Castle is in production (or will be soon if its here in Feb), 40 won't be too far behind, just the J72 and 319 to go really. Will we see more loco's announced? Probably but not many I reckon, maybe the last 40 variant and 1 or 2 steamers - each of the big 4 has a top link engine, mixed trafic engine and a tank engine except a southern tank and a GWR mixed traffic tender. Most logical GWR mixed traffic is either the Modified hall or the 43XX 2-6-0 not sure which they would go for though but not sure which southern tank, O2, SECR H?

Plus the Stirling Single so if there is a mystery one that is 3 projects.

Supposed to be building up my GWR fleet for my next exhibition layout but there is too many nice models coming out - Dapol 33 for one. Do I impose the rule of only buying GWR stuff to get this layout populated or cave in to desires for a 33 and goodness knows what else?

I had not noticed this untill you said, only thing I can see wrong with the model, won't stop me buying one in due course. I am sure a small trip near the airbrush will cure that issue.

I can't see NELPG doing a limited edition model somehow, they don't seem like the sort of group who have a large cash reserve to tie up in 500+ models. I could be wrong and these are just my opinions of course. Hopefully someone will do 2005 in LNER green one day

Nice bit of overtime coming up in the next couple of months, local model shop is open on Sunday's just after I should finish work. Would it be rude to take a little detour on my way home?

Does anyone have documented proof of the Great Western Railway testing these out in the 1930's before English Electric produced them for BR? Failing lack of proof rule 1 of model railways shall be activated

Bought a Dapol N Gauge 14XX and autocoach and a Farish GWR Cattle Wagon at the weekend, these and the Pannier and 2 B Set Coaches I am getting for Christmas suggests I should build an N Gauge GWR Branch

You and me both, I am just starting to convert to N Gauge from OO due to space (only got the Night mail set and a Graham Farish open wagon from the Bachmann Collectors CLub so far) but having seen the level of detail in these pics I am totally amazed by what can be done in such a small scale. Is this the first N Gauge model with a cab as detailed as that?

I popped in this shop twice over the weekend, once on Saturday and once on Monday. The wallet did not escape lighlty in there, thankfgully it could have been much worse for the poor thing. A well organised and brightly lit shop that I will be frequenting again.

If only there was a weathered sound version of DP1 available. I still have my orignial from the first batcvh that I have put sound in but I cannot bring myself to weather it. -
Nice to see the shop in a video, I am moving to South Wales soon so this will become my local model shop. Will have to come and check it out soon

Just seen the list myself, does seem to be the older models. However the price has dropped for some of them and given the expected date is 14th December there could be some very happy children on Christmas morning as long a Hornby doesnt delay them. I know my 2 step children love Thomas and one of them is getting a trainset off me for his birthday so the temptation to pre-order a few items may be too much to resist.

I did wonder if that was in mind considering the wheelbase was the same, perhaps this will be one of the next NRM models. Here is hoping as I would love to run the pair of Atlantics together. -
From what I have read online the AC Loco Group are interested in one of the class as well and there is a seperate group who want to preserve a 91and these two groups will take on 91101 (pioneer) and 91110, not sure who would get to choose first, but it seems we could have 3 91's preserved.

As soon as I saw the pic of 62059 when they came out I was not impressed with the weathering, you could clearly see they have just used a brown mix below the running plate. I even said this on Hornby's facebook page when they asked what people thought. I want to get one and show them how it should be done.

Quite scary filling out an exhibition booking for for a layout that has only 2 boards out of 6 made and none of the track laid yet.
