You could try Selby library, see if they have a local history section.
I don't know about Selby but Leeds Library has an extensive collection of local photos which are available on line.

Oh well I'll get ready for the annual frothathon, although I don't intend to take part I shall read everyone else's carefully considered and reasoned suggestions (wishlisting) with interest.
Emails. Day was I'd get into work deal with the days post, put the file back in the cabinet knowing I wouldn't need to look at it until at least the next day, if not the day after.

I suppose when they get round to the section between Leeds and Church Fenton that will mean the end of the North Eastern footbridge at Garforth.
Shame it's one of only two listed buildings in the town.
I must say the second hand market for these is buoyant. A six wheel tool van in BR black sold on eBay for over eighty quid.

I'd be inclined to use the turned brass stanchions sold for model boats. Sturdier than white metal and less chance of bending if inadvertently knocked.
I see from Facebook that Heljan have announced that following Hornby's announcement and the duplication of the locos they were going to do that they are dropping their TT proposals.
I would love to know how much of Hornby's precious cash reserves have been spent on this.
I'm a natural pessimist and I don't see big sales in the short term to claw that money back.
Could this be the last of Hornby?
