Mark 5, By Accurascale

Yes actually, you can see the bundles we are doing for the sleeper here: https://accurascale.co.uk/pages/special-offers Now, there is a glitch with prices being shown in a excluding VAT state on the sleeper bundles that we are currently working on, so it looks like the discount price is more expensive than the original price. It isn't, it is just that the original price is missing the VAT. Very annoying and confusing, but we are working to fix that. So, if you buy the Lowlander it is £720.00 without the bundle, and £647.99 with the bundle. The Highlander is £810 without the bundle and and £729 with the bundle. We know some of you have ordered these before we introduced the bundle offers. We will sort this out for you, just takes a bit of adjusting on our system and we will have it sorted for you in the coming days. Cheers, Fran -

In fairness a 91 is a loco. So we can scratch that one off the list And Cavalex have just announced it and judging by the PGA they have done they will make a fine job of it and the Mark 4s! APT? Not a chance! Though don't be surprised if someone else does. Toplight? 'fraid not. MGR? Not this time, but a lot of people have been asking us for HAAs recently.... Cheers! Fran -

Hi everyone, Just a quick note to say that we will be revealing our next model at Ally Pally in a few weeks, where we should have a pre-production sample on view all going well. As for clues? It’s not a locomotive and it’s OO. That’s all yer getting! Cheers! Fran -

Best thing to do is take the plastic out of the cardboard bottom and take them apart one corner at a time. Judging by how few returns we get back on our items they do their job protecting the contents through the postal system which is essential in today’s market. Cheers! Fran -
Trip to Dublin to visit our local, lads? The podcast will be 8 hours long and may become a tad slurred by the end, but could be a bit of fun....

Well, I don't think any model railway manufacturer can all themselves carbon neutral by any stretch. The way we see it is that it's a scheduled flight that's operating anyway... Something recyclable is the packinging which were are currently approving. Needs tweaking! This is the box for the single models, which have sold a lot less than we expected. Everybody has gone for at least one three pack, hence we are not doing single wagons for the PCAs etc. Seems the vocal in asking for a single are very much in the minority... Cheers! Fran -

I was able to sneak away from our stand over the weekend to grab a bit of video of our HUOs in action on the superb 'Dubmill Sidings'. Many thanks to the crew for facilitating me! They will look even better when they get the full weathering treatment! Cheers! Fran -

Hi everyone, The provison of the pan as a spare part and how it is provided is down to how practical it can be done by the factory. Let’s wait and see what can be done. Our primary priority is to have them looking and functioning superbly on our dyson, anything after that is a bonus. Cheers! Fran -
Could be even worse, could be talkSPORT ‘shudder’. Or Saint Joe Duffy (one for our fellow Irish!) Excellent job lads, and something soundly lacking in the fraternity, good to see it filled and develop and grow! Cheers! Fran

Hi Matthew, Many thanks for the message! It is something we are certainly looking into, and if it’s practical from the factory POV we can do it. Watch this space! We had some great feedback about the 92 over the weekend at Model Rail Scotland. One question that came up a couple of times was if the Accurascale 92 is a crowdfunding project? I can confirm it is not, and it will be made and funded by Accurascale. The deposit system is merely an indication of commitment so we can plan how many to make of each variant. Hope this helps with any assurances. Cheers! Fran -

Hi everyone, Just a very quick thank you to everyone who stopped by at our stand over the weekend at Model Rail Scotland. It was great to meet so many new faces and we were certainly kept very busy of the three days of the show! It was great to see so much enthusiasm for our Mark 5 and Class 92 announcements and of course on our Deltics, PCAs, cemflos and HUOs in both scales. I have about a billion messages and emails to catch up on once we get back to Dublin later tonight after the weekend, in case people are waiting for a reply! Our next show is at Alexandra Palace next month which we’re really looking forward to! Cheers! Fran -

Hi Andrew, The tie bars are secured with a small bit of glue but not overdone to allow removal for RE wheeling to finer wheel standards. That will allow the tie bars to be replaced after. This errant one may have seen too little glue used! We’re sorry about that and we do carry spares if needs be. Re coupler removal, could just snip the spring with track cutters and slide out the hook? Just an idea. Cheers! Fran -

Hi there, Here they are performing at Model Rail Scotland over the weekend, seem to be standing up very well so far. I will upload some video when I get back to Dublin next week. Something may have had a knock in the journey through the courier system but they seem pretty robust usually? Cheers! Fran
