  1. OK so been working on second board tonight Clive has kindly pointed out my compensation crank omission sins but planning to go back and retrofit So my query is... HAve paired up the points - A&B, C&D no problem But What would the preferred route for E&F be please - lower - or upper, the latter using the tie bar of E to carry motion to the upper route Opinions welcome please! Kind regards Phil
  2. Collecting van tomorrow first thing and loading up to be on the road to Trainwest for 1.30 with Pierre & Jim on board BUT HAVE A STAFFING CRISIS ON SUNDAY - down to Pierre and myself due to family issues and re-arranged football cup final Anyone out there fancy joining the team for the day? Please PM me if so Phil
  3. Ah yes - got wrong end of stick there - works plates on cab side , arrows behind door, not t'other way round! Isambard himself was the same http://www.class47.co.uk/UIH/uih_v32.php?icb=1762020018000|f|0|wm_0|3|||j| But different works plates as Crewe built not Brush - and was running for a while with one TTG cab door - Jimbo did that on mine but I wasn't impressed on such a finely named loco and I took it off hee hee Phil
  4. And where is the incidental music? P
  5. Only caught snatches of it today but will watch on catch up Agree with the go go go comments - original series was one rescue per episode! Phil
  6. Behind the drivers door is an unusual location - got a phot of that please Paul? Cheers Phil
  7. Is that 4 arrows on the cab sides Paul? Is there room for a lovely etched Brush works plate from Brian Hanson at Extreme Etchings? Phil
  8. We will miss you Paul! Another time when circumstances are easier for you perhaps? You know you are always welcome Phil
  9. Spent the afternoon labelling stock boxes with colour coded system Should make keeping track of the stock rather easier Phil
  10. Sounds like that's correct - more gen here http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/97536-when-were-class-42-warships-last-used-on-the-waterloo-exeters/ Kind regards Phil
  11. Nice ideas PAul - need to do the clutter thing on Abbotswood Phil
  12. And that has fixed it - D200 is now a fully functional fleet member after trials on abbotswood at the weekend Pierre Le Brun turned up with another he has purchased - will have to give it the same treatemnt! Many thanks to those up thread who posted this advice - its a quick and easy fix Phil
  13. Was fortunate to bump in to Brian in Howes yesterday - he had D6328 with him so was able to see it in the flesh The photos are great but in the flesh..... wow! Fantastic work Brian, many thanks for sharing it with me Phil
  14. D200 was restored at Toton. Was it the need for an engine/and or generator change and the facilities there that forced the work to a depot that didn't usually handle the class? Thanks for confirming my thoughts Clive Phil
  15. That is one cracking model! Did depots have the cranes to cope with anything other than a Lightweight Maybach or MAN at Laira and OOC? Was changing a Sulzer a main works job? Toton may have done perhaps.... Cheers Phil
  16. And lets hope the chassis doesn't get "improved" as much as the Class 40 has been - and there is enough space for a decent speaker . Cheers Phil
  17. Ran our hopper train today - 13 hornbys, 2 mainlines and 5 PDs The drag factor was severe on the hornbys - time to investigate wheel changes I think Phil
  18. Had an excellent shakedown session with James and Pierre Le Brun this weekend - and signed up Tarifa to the team too. Looking forwards to what should be a super show - still lots to do Phil
  19. A layer of prestolinth between the primer and metal too Mike! Phil
