  1. Hi Clive I was thinking the same about the Standard 5s but not so sure which ones were green - certainly some ex WR ones did last in to 68 in the NW as you say, including Bath favourite 73050 - but that was definitely black. Kind regards Phil
  2. Ah yes - the clag is in front of the station name board! Don't recall ever seeing 22s on Gloucester area passenger workings but never say never! Cheers Phil

  9. I've had another go at my D200 on this chassis Neil. Bachmann's design is fundamentally flawed! If you have a 3 axle bogie with no play in the axles unless the track is totally level only two of the axles will be in contact with the track at any time - the centre axle will act as a fulcrum and will nearly always be in contact with the track but no pick up on it! - and hence only 1 of the other 2 with pick ups will be actually picking up. Bonkers. So I have put wiper pick ups on to the back of all 6 wheels on each bogie. Is fine on the bedroom floor test track but the layout is the big test - will report back next time it is up CHeers Phil
  10. Found a relevant link on the excellent Derby Sulzer web site: http://www.derbysulzers.com/scrapyardprivate.html Scroll down to the bottom Phil

  18. D200 now has additional pick ups on 12 wheels plus stay alive but the truth will be discovered next time we have the layout up! Apparently the next batch are no better - hope they havent done the same to the new Warship! Theres a blue 25/2 going spare here - of any interest to you? Phil
  19. Still not sorted! If it carries on like this will be having serious thoughts about giving up on her - or perhaps acquiring an original chassis to put the body on Phil
  20. Nice progress mate - will be impressive no doubt. Have spent day building PD hoppers and putting additional pick ups on D200 - have similar job to do on D6320, never run out of jobs do we? Phil
  21. Wonderful Dave - look at all those lovely brake tenders and hoppers! Also great memories of Bulmers - when I was at school we had a club layout - St Johns Railway Circle - that we took to a do there on an occasion earlier than your visit. Its highlight on the inevitable GW BLT was a Brunel fan timber viaduct. Along comes little oik when our back is turned and yanks deck off said bridge. Happy? Not! Cab ride on 6000 partial recompense however Phil
