Clutton as well!
-
Those Peckets are BIG locos, it dwarfs that signal box ...
-
Thanks for the positive comments about Clutton, it doesn't often get praise. Railwells in August will be its last public outing.
You may be surprised to know that not all of the layout was built to those "high standards", there are a lot of acceptable (to me) short-cuts. Looking for those short-cuts turns the impossible to the build-able. I think such things means that even big/complicated projects can be done. I don't think any of my stock would be as good as those coaches! -
Productive as always Andrew!

No photo attached Ray.

Mmm.. chocolate and a pantograph miller, very nice!
-
Very impressive Robin.

The one comment I would make is that I like the bar on the Masokits system, it keeps the W irons fixed relative to each other. I have had a few older (20+ years!) wagons where the axles get out of line with each other. So I've taken to putting a bar on any repaired wagons.
See you next weekend.
-
Umm, big isn't it!
-
After all that running, it should be perfect. Suspect a discrepancy between coupling rod centres/wheelbase.
-
What buffer stop? I can't see one in the prototype photo - or is it off to the left?
Fun with photos though.
-
I'm afraid that some people (not you Andrew) are besotted by Templot - it is not the panacea some people think, and sometimes the MK1 human eyeball can do a better job.
Excellent work though, I don't envy that wiring ...

WD40 is not an oil, it's a water dispersant (hence the name). Get some proper oil on it. Car engine oil will do, good old 20-50 is good.
By the way I am jealous!
-
Fantastic, looks like he's having fun (which is what it's all about)!
-
I agree with the Captain, I'm also vaguely interested ...
-
36 shows in 27 years, no more than three a year, so not many weekend passes! My son was born in that period - much more important than model railways. He then became an avid operator later on.
-
Agreed.
My layout has been to 36 shows, and when the criticism comes I wonder if it's worth the bother.
Well my critics will be pleased, only four more shows to go!
-
I'm trying to think of any flat-pack buildings that might help your model, I have a feeling you could blue-tac some Dapol type buildings together to make some thing.
-
Nice to see pencil and squared paper - so much better than CAD ...
-
Tell her it's cheaper than golf/football...
-
Good work.
Small point, the cant rail should be roof colour - another thing that Hornby have perpetuated from the old Airfix days, but I'm sure you are working on it.
-
Neat work Captain
-
That turntable looks familiar...

With all the positive comments, I've moved this to the Cameo Layout threads.

The perfectionist as always Andrew ...
I think the ballast I used on Clutton came from a bag marked Slaters!
