  1. ID with NER Dia Q2 Loco Coal 20 tons capacity LNER Wagons has a picture of same . Well done JW .
  2. Looks like NE to me. Is this a Van ? cant tell if there is a Roof or not ?
  3. Is TW due a visit to optician?? lol . He must have seen a Bachmman V2 that no one else has seen before !! Hopefully Hornby will bite the bullet as they now have a nice GS tender to go with one !!
  4. Ah I did wonder if it was, as the Tender looks much finer than the old Finecast Juggernaut version !! that probably weighs about the same as one too. Must keep a eye out for a replacement Hornby version !! cheers
  5. Is the W1 a Finecast version ? Looks very nice, can you get it around curves with the Cartazzi truck with flanged wheels ? My LNER version is a nightmare !! in the end I made my one with flangeless Cartazzi truck wheels aka Hornby.
  6. As said by others too, simply the best for the price A4 around.
  7. A real shame you have to use the lovely Kingfisher for the conversion. A real pain Hornby dont sell the bodies seperately. Etches are very effective. Are you adding the more detail ? etched letters/numbers etc?
  8. Hornby A4 a pigs ear !!!!!!!!! bizarre
  9. I agree, dont forget the excellent Bachmann Vans and Wagons as well. Shame they didnt do the Trout in the right colour. Seems to have sold well anyway .
  10. I was so strange a Cab Roof layout I thought there would be a picture. Excellent thanks. I think there are still a few bugs on this forum it crashes virtually every time I try and log on , normally ok at the second attempt !!
  11. Is the Cab beading on the J6 prototypical ?
  12. Hornby 8F which doesnt seem to get much attention on this forums. A very nice model, all I have done is weathering , etched works plates, Loco lamp and real coal in the tender. Nice and heavy and a good performer pick ups and all drivers and tender wheels as built.
  13. Me too re drawbar. Use Irfanview for pictures , very easy to use.
  14. Coming on nicely. One point your firebox handrail looks to go upto the right ?
  15. Which one ? as there appears to be four? (dont like blogs) thanks
  16. Indeed but better than nothing !!!!
  17. Brassmasters are doing one toooooooo. Mr Martin are there any photos of your A2/2 ??
  18. Hopefully Hornby will produce one, Bachmann have missed a big oppourtunity here to produce a correct Loco. Cannot understand their logic at all .
  19. Many thanks I am sure they will be very useful . thanks again

    Hornby B1

    Nah Apple Green please
  21. Sadly mine are in the original Hornby position. I could not see any viable way of moving the cylinders which are Hornby version with added details. Hornby have moved them back to allow more swing on the bogie wheels. I am aware of the Rod run on the Left/Nearside of the Loco and the Lubricators . I have scratched a new Rod and parts and Lubricators will be added onto the footplate not hidden under the Boiler as per the Hornby moulding. There is a further rod on the right side part covered next to the cab . Ashpan Lever ? which have also added. I have removed all the wrong Hornby boiler detail and await handrail knobs at mo, I can then finish the detail prior to painting. I will post some pictures when all the detail is added. cheers
  22. HMRS LNER Lining using the thinest line on the sheet . I used parts of the oval curve pieces for the corners.
  23. Why would you want to try and convert a Hornby version ? Bachmann version already has the correct chassis. However you will need to change the Bachmann ROD tender to the GCR type . Graeme King does the resin water filler and some plastikard plus a Tender Wheel from Gibson.
