  1. Hornby J94 upgrade using RT Models parts, good service and comms too.
  2. A update on a Hornby J94 using RT Models add on parts and Gibson buffers , now ready for paint. I will have to fit the rear steps after paint due to the way the models has been made in sections. Chassis has had new balance weights only.
  3. More than that, compare the distance between the top of the rail and the body. You can also see more of the top of the nearside bogie wheel as well (that maybe the angle of the photo) in one of the photos as well. On further looking the signal to the right has a lean as well. perhaps its something caused by Photo Studio.
  4. Is th A4 body on correctly as the whole of the nearside appears to be deformed? . Very bizarre if straight., you can get lens distortion but not that bad !!
  5. Other two bargains mentioned earlier, which are relettered BR versions . High Steel interiors have been redone as I forgot they had wooden doors therefore not rusty !!. One of Helensdale with a O4/3 at work.
  6. Some Modelzone sale bargains . Fitted with Smiths couplings, renumbered and in case of the Fruit van totally relettered and all weathered using thinned paint and powders. A couple more on the go at the moment
  7. Cant see it working on curves far too rigid even glued to one side only
  8. If you glue the sleepers to the track? you cannot bend the track to any sort of curve. How can you space the sleepers before making a curve without glueing them ? As soon as you turn it over to glue the sleepers to the curved rail you will lose the radius.
  9. Hornby NRM Tender backdated to 1928 version. Attached to Brown Jack
  10. Saw it yesterday and highly impressive. My only minor crticism is that it is very hard to see much of the layout due to the roof. This is not helped by the operators sitting in front of the layout , directly in front of the station throat area and one of the few areas of viewing . Perhaps they would be better at the fiddle yard end ? A couple of pictures re my comment added thanks for the reply. I am sure the control panel at the fiddle end would be just as interesting , as indeed it is worth watching.
  11. Upgrades on some Ian Kirk suburbans which I built about 25 years ago. All have recieved MJT underframes which were a much needed improvement. Also changed to NRM couplings which has greatly improved their roadholding on bends.
  12. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200721998733?ssPageName=STRK:MEDWX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1435.l2649 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. I agree but there a lot of recent examples. e.g Tenders at over £35 each
  14. £48.99 and it hasnt even got the right bogie fitted !!!. Prices seem to be on the up on anything Hornby LNER/BR they used to be around £25 tops , bonkers!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200721971114?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1426.l2649
  15. Thanks for explantion re wall. Sums BR up everything run down. Glad eyes are Ok !!
  16. Hope today goes ok. Dont know the area whats the story behind the Arcade wall ?
  17. Even if a A2/3 is annouced you wont see one for at least a year ???? As to livery, LNER Green looks lovely on any design on which I have seen , even a J72 looks totally different from one in plain Black . It certainly looks good on a Thommo !!
  18. Some of the nearside as requested earlier. Flaman Bracket added in front of rear driver. Vacumn ejector pipe moved up 2mm. Flash used to show front end detail Couple at work shots thanks for all the replies much appreciatted.
  19. Practise on old model , always ensure all debris is removed before spraying !!
  20. Nothing complicated Halford Primer Precision or Railmatch Aerosol depending on shade being used Vallejo Gloss Varnish to seal Games Workshop Satin to finish Job done ( just needs a lot of occasional swearing when it goes wrong, which it does and careful rubbing down when required)
  21. Looks good, dont think I would climb that signal ladder !!!!
