  1. Which game were you watching in Paris? 😉 More seriously though, that passage of play where the ball was kicked from 22 to 22 and back again seemed to go on for ever. I know that, sadly, it is part of the game these days but today’s instalment was just silly.
  2. That really looks the part. Have you converted to all dcc or will the tortoise points remain electro mechanical. I need to investigate the DCC concepts stuff. Currently I run everything through accessory decoders via a computer. Not a switch, stud and probe or push button in sight. I do really fancy a lever frame like that though,
  3. I see Bachmann has announced more Mk1 TSOs in blue/grey. Hooray!!!! End steps removed where appropriate. Hooray!!! Bogies fitted with electrical pickups. Maybe useful. Extra drag ? Optional version with fitted passengers. £10 extra. Jury’s out. The prices though. Ouch!!!!!!
  4. I’m sure that he will join the waiting lists along with thousands of others.
  5. Where? Who? I don't recall many tipping England.
  6. If I thought Friday night’s game was going to be the grand slam decider, I’’m now thinking that England v Italy probably decided the wooden spoon.
  7. I always knew that vacuum brakes would make a comeback.
  8. Would it be fair to say the the grand slam decider was the very first game of the competition?
  9. Platform (sides at least ) so you can ballast right up to them and you don’t have to clean ‘stray’ ballast away before planting them.
  10. As of last Friday: The F is back That scaffolding has gone. So have all of those people The beer and food is still ****
  11. Gosh, not so long ago I had a couple of hours to fill there. I wish I had known about this. Ah, well. Next time.
  12. Given that many (most) road users drive with a Satnav in front of them, when arguably much more attention is needed on the road, why would a dim view be taken of this. Well, perhaps not the hard copy, but some sort of electronic equivalent. Sorry if this seems to be going of at a tangent.
  13. I did the same with Cadbury's mis - shapes once. Definitely not disappointed.
  14. The Barrowmore model railway group have kindly uploaded the BR diagram books Barrowmore Model Railway Group (BMRG) (barrowmoremrg.co.uk) Book 200 coaching stock is the one you want. Or Parkin - Mark 1 Coaches may be the book you are thinking of
  15. I wonder if the RAIB will be taking a look at this one. Does anyone know what their criteria/threshold is for deciding when to investigate or not?
  16. Good to see that you are still modelling and haven’t lost the mojo whilst things are ‘packed away’. I too get the (very) occasional urge to start a new small box file/diorama/shunting type layout but knowing that I still have much to do on the main layout, I manage to resist the urge. Or at least I have so far. Let me know if your shrink is any good.
  17. I am puzzled as to why you don’t (as Nigel has suggested) just read the current or set a new address using this facility on your DCC system, assuming this facility exists on yours.
  18. … and if you look to the right the waters of the Kyle and towering hills of Skye. I am looking forward to seeing how this developed.
  19. I’m sure I’ll be able to ruin it a week come Sunday.
  20. I can be fairly confident with my predictions on how ‘The Falcons’ will do.
  21. Definitely not a tunnel. As far as I can see it doesn’t have a church on top.
  22. Thanks @37081LochLong and @Nick C. I know point rodding has the expansion widgets and often wondered how signal wiring was dealt with.
  23. At the Steelworks and Rail Mill in Workington... ... oh, wait a minute though.
