  1. No it's Royal Mail 1ST class signed for, however checking this morning the original listing has changed and the delivery dates are now 12th to 14th June, and I can't find the original original listing!! The seller had another item for sale which was for those dates, which is now no longer there. So maybe a slip of the fingers. But still no reply to my message to him. I'm not worried about the time taken to deliver, I would have bought the item even if these dates were on the original listing. It's probably just a mistake at his end. We'll see by the 14th.
  2. Thanks for the quick replies. I'd considered unforseen problems at the vendors, but the email sequence from eBay threw me a bit. So perhaps I was being over anxious. I'll wait until the weekend and if nothing, open a case. Rob
  3. Last Wednesday I won an item and paid immediately. I got a mail from eBay saying I'd won and a mail from PayPal saying I'd paid. The estimated delivery was 3rd -5th June. We're now the 8th and it's showing as not dispatched. However the " normal" sequence of mails from eBay didn't seem right from what I normally get. I know they're always changing things, but it seemed odd. I sent a mail via eBay to the vendor on Tuesday politely asking for an update when convenient and so far no reply. The vendor has over 1250 transactions with 100% feedback, so it seems strange I've had no comm's or delivery. Any thoughts? Rob
  4. I remember watching WHU win their last European trophy(Cup Winers Cup) in1965. It was on the Beeb and in black and white and I was 15. Two European trophies in one lifetime is more than I could hope for supporting The Irons. IFBB
  5. They're at it again. Now they've messed up the Purchase history page, with a new format, which worked perfectly well previously.
  6. All seems back to normal this morning?????????????
  7. Thanks for the reply. I looked at nthe eBay forum and see loads of complaints similar to mine and other gripes. Whereas I had perhaps 100 or so hits for a particular search, it's now showing over 5000. If I try and narrow it down by using speech marks for the exact wording I get no hits at all. 😒 Hey Ho! Rob
  8. Odd occurence this morning. I go to my saved searches, the 1st of which is Bachmann class 158. I'm getting all sorts of DMU's in that search instead of just the 158's. Next one is Bachmann class 37, and get variuos diesels including 37's. Same for class 47, but the other searches are OK. See grab of the 158 pages. Are they changing the searches gradually, or is it a glitch?
  9. We drove to the show and were surprised to see several car parks with a sign saying "£3 for parking". We eventually found the free one but were asked "Would you like to make a donation". Not sure as to what the donation was for, there were no signs, I didn't ask and declined. If it was for Red Nose Day I might have said yes, but there was no indication or explanation as to what I was donating. We've visited several times before the pandemic and the entrance stewarding outside the venue has always been non-existant. People turn up not knowing that you can enter by any of the doors as there are several separate bag checks before joining the pre-booked queue. This resulted in people who had arrived earlier being "overtaken" by those coming a little later, as the former had formed a queue outside which the latter bypassed. As it was tipping it down this morning those in the queue outside were rightly a little disgruntled. The pre-booked queue was sign posted once inside, and clearly visible. However we noticed the signage for pay on the day tickets was a right angles to the doors and not immediately visible. A minor issue but may have caused some a problem. A plus point was the airport style waiting area after the ticket validation. This alleviated the pressure on the pre-booked queue allowing more people inside prior to opening at 9:30AM. Seating: This has been a issue every time we've visited. There are simply not enough and there seems to be no reason for this other than to force people to buy something at the food outlets to be able to sit down. After an initial wander round my wife suggested I walk round on my own whilst she would find a seat somewhere. We found two seats a the back of the small hall at round 10:45. She sat on one and I left her reading her book. On returning an hour later there were more chairs in place(but only about 30) and many people were sitting on the floor eating their food, and many wandering around with hot beverages because there were no avaiable seats. We decided to get some air around 12 o'clock and saw chairs being brought in as we walked along the corridor to the pass out area. Far too late IMO. There's really no excuse for this lack of general seating. We'd taken a snack with us, but at the bag check the steward said we couldn't consume it inside. This would not be a problem on a dry day as we could go outside, but not today. If this is policy, could someone please explain the rationale. The picture in an earlier post shows seating where the main food outlets were. I naturally assumed this was only for people who had purchased items from these outlets. The same applying to the areas off of the small hall. Being advised we couldn't consume our own food inside re-inforced that assuption. No. I didn't have a bad day. The drive to and from the venue from Essex was smooth, the shuttle bus was fine, the stewards polite and friendly, the layouts great.🙂 But please sort out the seating.🙄 Rob
  10. I thought this was a thread about "Which" magazine. The consumer champions. But seeing as you're asking, neither, it would be Model Rail. It got me into railway modelling when it first came out. Rob
  11. Yes that looks like a self made stay alive. However unless the capacitor is of very high value (15,000uF or so) the run time won't be very long, a second at best. Hence your problem. Unfortunately the capacitor doesn't show its value in the picture. Rob
  12. Spent many an evening at Norton Bridge whilst training at BT Stone. Happy days. Rob
  13. Not sure if this a new trend or not, but I've seen several listings recently (not the same vendor) that say, for instance, " Bachmann OBA wagon EWS x 3" in the header. But when you go to the description it's "3 available", each, at the price shown, not 3 for the price displayed. Also purchase history has changed format, and I'm getting ad's in between my watch list items, doesn't sit well with me. Fine at start or end, but not interspersed between my list items. Will they ever stop tinkering. 😒 Rob
  14. 150 001 passing the junction to Upminster on the GE main line to Liverpool St. on 07/01/2012 10:18. Apologies for the slightly blurred picture which has been on the forum before, in a different topic, but got "lost" with many others.
  15. It's the annual RSPB birdwatch from 27th to 29th details here. https://www.rspb.org.uk/get-involved/activities/birdwatch/ Should provide some photo' opportunities. Rob
  16. Possibly Runway Friction Test? As it was very cold last night and the pilot would need to take that into account. Rob
  17. Rails advent calendar today has "Bachmann OO Gauge 35-421 Class 47 526 BR Blue (Large Logo) Diesel Locomotive Weathered Edition *2022 New Tooling•" at £189.95 down from £254.95 RRP. Whether that's a bargain for you is your call. HTH Rob

  19. Hi all, Not seen any cards so far this year, so I'll start it off with this offering. Thanks to all who contribute to this wonderful resource. Have a great Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year. Rob
  20. The player was Alvarez, he scored both goals in open play. The "penalty" was taken by Messi.
  21. Hi Andy, Just a small thing when you have time please. I took up the offer on Saturday and I'm still showing as a Premium member, when I access the site, rather than Gold. Everything else seems to be working OK. Thanks, Rob
  22. Being a ACE-2 user, and presumably on their mailing list, I had the following email from GFB Designs on the 11th Nov'. Added as not see this previously posted. Rob "Greetings from GFB Designs Please note that our business model has changed….. All sales, marketing and product distribution is now being handled by GLR Bespoke services - a well established outlet for model railway products, based in the Vale of Glamorgan in South Wales. The new arrangement is that everyone buys Sig-naTrak products through GLR. That said, any traders will still enjoy the current rate of discount and new trade customers are welcome to contact GLR. You may already know, but a chap called Steven Dodd heads up GLR. They can be contacted via their website at www.glrailways.co.uk, by emailing sales@glrailways.com or by telephone on 01446 789084. The DAC22 is now available, currently with a lead time of 7-10 days, and the development of the ACE-3 controller continues (release date TBA). I will continue to handle technical support enquiries, either by email to: gfbdesigns05@btinternet.com or by telephone on: +44 (0)7968 057919. Many thanks for your custom and continued support! Kindest regards, Fraser Proprietor - GFB Designs"
