  1. I beg to differ. Yes costs of everything are increasing, but working from home, low overheads, and a very healthy customer base make me thank my lucky stars on a daily basis.
  2. Morning. Another monster today in the shape of a class 37. Meet 37222. This is a full 'back to plastic' re-work of a Heljan centre headcode model. Bufferbeam skirts removed and re-built, new headcode marker panels, Western region original style lamp mounts removed from no 2 end, full repaint and weathering. 222 was one of only a handful of class 37s to retain it's bodyside boiler port door and steps.
  3. That sounds like bog standard factory issue listening to the horn and brakes. Tail lights not even turned off when hauling stock.
  4. Plenty of special people at most exhibitions without the need for a dedicated lounge area.....
  5. Even though the reason said suppliers are now not there, is because of a lack of market demand.
  6. I have had an issue when removing the numbers from the cabside of a Heljan class 14. Trying to mix a match to the paint is a nightmare....anyone any idea of what the shade should be, and if it's available from Precision or Railmatch? Regards Lee
  7. About as much of a surprise as Boris Johnson not admitting the messes he has made.
  8. Yep cheers, sussed it via Flickr too!
  9. Don't know if it has been mentioned prior in the thread, but the Hornby TTS BR blue (nigh on black!) class 08, R3898TTS. It is numbered as 3817, and has high level brake pipes. I'm not hot on class 08 details, and thought only the 09s had the additional pipes. Anyone shed any light on the prototype?
  10. Numbered and named as 075, Tinsley 'bling' window frames added, weathered and soundfitted.
  11. Good evening. In a nutshell, a set of replacement tanks from GM will set you back in the region of £50. They are made up of many individual parts. I have the necessary parts numbers, and will post tomorrow when back with the workshop pc.
  12. I'll have a word with them tomorrow. The exploded spares diagram shows the tanks/battery assembly units as complete units, not 90 different parts. They really should be sold as complete units.
  13. Hi. I have removed the tanks, as I need to make up some long range for a 47/7. I take it GM have just listed part numbers and descriptions, without images of the parts?
  14. Well. It's been a while.....quite frankly I gave up posting due to 0 discussion and response. The new Heljan 56 has landed, and very nice it is too. Shout if you would like one.
  15. Well. That's one hell of a discussion over a brand new release 😆
  16. I see a large amount of locos on the workbench, mainly 0 gauge these days with a small amount of 00. Over the 8 years I have been doing this, out of the box running issues have become steadily worse. Hornby are terrible...it's quite rare for a loco to actually work properly. I think the days of every loco being tested on a circle of track before boxing up for sale have long gone.
  17. You can only do that if you are a Ltd company, non Ltd has to be done by post and costs 40 quid.
