  1. What bank is that? Never heard of it. I know banks have got ridiculously finicky over particulars the last couple of years.
  2. DMU depot looks fab. Great home for smoky rattly 101s
  3. Seems to have gone the same way as the 0 gauge HST project.
  4. Been a long time coming, but in todays marketplace well done on a very reasonable rrp. Producing accurate quality at this price is a lesson for the big boys. No names mentioned, Hornby take note
  5. What an absolute load of playground bo#l@%ks. So glad I moved to 7mm :-)
  6. I'm sure I saw an article in a mag, the name of which currently escapes me, about a retired Indian civil engineer who's hobby was fashioning large cylindrical model based structures from old, large industrial kitchen cooking pots. I'll see if I can dig it out.
  7. It's now got to the point where Hornby have dragged their heels over the years to constant repeated requests to produce basic bread and butter liveries, or detail variants in the diesel and electric world, from both customers and trade that we are now at a point where other manufacturers are simply catering to market demand and producing a brand new, correct spec model. Witness the 47, 56, 66 etc. I'm sure it won't be long before the class 31, and others are catered for.
  8. So how come every other company that sells product manages to set a price from the get go? Just strikes me as exceptionally odd business practise.
  9. "Studies have shown". Must be true then.
  10. Would have been a tad draughty for the crew.....
  11. How on earth can glazing be "too flush"??
  12. 6 months in and still no prices. Any reason for that?
  13. I agree. The MM1 version ain't perfect either. And as 'working' locos hauling decent length trains on Heaton Lodge Junction, the kitbuilt stuff has been as useful as a chocolate fireguard. They can barely take themselves up the inclines!
  14. Maybe the constant changing of goalposts, and cheesing off of the dealer network, abysmal qc, and odd release choices, certainly diesel and electric, is finally starting to bite? Lots of other newer manufacturers have taken up the slack.
  15. Dosent, wright, stright. Spellchecker broken?
  16. Interesting, I presume you have visited the manufacturing departments of Heljan to qualify that statement?
  17. The fact it is 200' long, genuinely takes your breath away when you see the sheer size of it, there is simply too much to take in upon a first visit. I have already watched various members of the public, who all collectively know diddly squat about prototype railways or models, literally stand open mouthed upon the reveal. You are completely missing the point of just what this venture is all about.
