Leah Margaret Fairway, born 21/4/13 at 7.34 pm. Mum & baby fine and hopefully home tomorrow!
-
First 4 and a half months of marriage successfully completed, first 3 months of pregnancy (by the wife, not me!) completed - and a burning desire to get the modelling gear back out

Best Germany v Greece game? - Well, I do remember one... Germany started favourites in that game as well, but were beaten by a controversial last-minute headed goal from Socrates. The goal was hotly disputed by the Germans, with Hegel arguing that the reality is merely an a priori adjunct of non-naturalistic ethics, Kant via the categorical imperative is holding that ontologically it exists only in the imagination, and Marx claimed it was offside.

Had a wonderful wedding day yesterday - honeymoon next!

Has just seen Dave Lee Travis declare on Channel 4 News that he is planning to take over the world. Erk

has come to the conclusion that it's not possible to walk past a model shop without going inside. It's not possible to come out without having bought something either...

This Lemon & Lime E-Cig liquid is nice. Still think they are missing a trick though - where's the Clag flavour?
-
\o/ Free Baseboard!
-
Back still agony, but feel guilty about missing work, so using annual leave rather than phoning in sick. Loyalty or Idiocy?

Just hobbled down the shop and back. Definatley easier than yesterday (and this morning!). Might be able to blag a lift back to the station in the afternoon if I need it tomorrow though! - I'm off on Wednesday anyway (Easter Egg hunt at the local farm shop/pick your own with little man), so will probably just put up with it tomorrow!
-
has suprisingly been given permission to turn an unused shelf into a photo plank/diorama for the lounge wall. I'd be rude not to take advantage of this unexpected development!

is engaged \o/

Argh! - One answer to get in the Telegraph crossword, and now I'm stumped. Was feeling very intelligent there for a minute!
-
Another layout, another frustrating evening failing at soldering feeds to track. I think its time to look into those pre-soldered fishplates...

It's not through want of practice, it is just something I've never been able to get to grips with - despite trying different irons, different bits, different solder - just one of those things, like performing brain surgery or enjoying rap music, that I seemingly cannot 'get'!
Kev: Thanks for the offer, I'm going to leave it for a couple of days and try again first!

Has just won a Bean to Cup coffee machine via the Daily Telegraph!

and as the one tortoise i succesfully mounted on the underside of the board goes crashing down, i think its time to leave the shed to calm down...

Overthemoon.com - Got the job. This allows house move (in with girlfriend) and a return to modelling!
-
Memo to self. Do NOT hold sellotape on your lip whilst wrapping a present. It hurts when you take it off!
-
Eyeing up honeymoon destinations. It's either 4 nights in the New Forest or Torbay for us \o/ - can't decide which!
-
RIP Gary Speed. Tragic
-
Double sided tape is not adequate to hold tortoise point motors. What is then?
-
Enjoying the new Pink Floyd album. Not enjoying Leah's stinky nappies. Three this morning, and typically the wife did a night shift last night so it's all down to me... :yuk:
-
Quite enjoy putting the kids to bed then sitting down with a coffee to watch Antiques Road Trip, but can't help thinking if I offered
-
Particularly good episodes of M*A*S*H on tonight.

Ah, so according to various forum warriors, it's entirely my fault (as the only regular poster connected to the club) that we couldn't raise a team to go to Redhill today. Ho hum....
