  1. I was looking for an OO Hornby Class 08 and came across this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/276235988453?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=2IwrB5T5RLG&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=0s3Wp3YhSam&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY They have used AI to describe it which states "Although it has been previously owned, it has been well looked after and is in great working condition" But looking at the 3rd picture, I'm not sure it is great working condition!
  2. Okay thanks, I'll look out for the upgrade kit
  3. The esu website has a download for a Lokpilot but not a Loksound decoder, is this available for download?
  4. Right I'm thinking of doing a Czech layout and actually finishing it this time! I did sell all of my stock last time and haven't got any Czech/Polish stock at the moment, however i do have enough straight track to remake the same track plan. So I was wondering, do the czech use 3 way points so I could use a couple of these?
  5. Gordon, I think its just the angle of the picture. It does look straight though!
  6. I also bought one of these, yes it was expensive for what it is. yes it is very orange, this is it straight out of the box.
  7. I also bought one of these, yes it was expensive for what it is. yes it is very orange, this is it straight out of the box.
  8. I have been planning this Freemo layout for some time. With lots of help and input from Martyn we have come up with this. It's quite an ambitious layout for me at 16ft. not quite sure how I'm going to test it with consent from the domestic authorities! First stage is to look at getting the boards made, now my woodworking skills are not the best some i'll be looking at Grange and Hodder or Tim Horn for these unless anyone fancies making them for me!
  9. Well this is what I've been working on with help from Martyn, but I think its a bit ambitious. What do you think?
  10. I've been replacing the end ties with copper clad board for more strength. Its looking better now but I think I've had enough of this module now so was thinking of selling it.......
  11. I've just had another look at the microscale website and it seems I would need to also get this one! Argh!!!!!!! Only took 10 weeks from Modeljunction for the other one............................ http://www.microscale.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Session_ID=c556e986c8031d3dbf60ecaaaf80cad4&Screen=PROD&Product_Code=87-1289&Store_Code=MD&search=kcs&offset=&filter_cat=&PowerSearch_Begin_Only=&sort=&range_low=&range_high=
  12. I have a couple of Athearn Genesis SD70mac locos that are in TFM livery. I would like to update them to KCS so I bought the Microscale sheet 87-146 but it doesn't have the small KCS logo that goes on the front side of the loco. Also it has white numbers not red. Anyone know where i can get the correct decals? Here's an example https://www.locophotos.com/PhotoDetails.php?PhotoID=115104
  13. Paul I did think that, do you mean add a rear entrance to the shed and have it open both ends?
  14. This freemo module hasn't had any attention for a while, so I've been slowly adding detail and am looking to extend it by another 3ft to the right hand side on the single track. So here is the layout plan So I could just add a straight 3ft module single track. Or I could extend the spur that goes around the back of the shed Or I could have the top spur reconnect with the single track creating a loop. I was going to change the shed to a wagon repair shop(yes very small) What do you think?
  15. Sorry I couldn't be there this time, have a good time and can you post plenty of photos please?
  16. I have now finished painting the layout sides "Highland Green". Just a few labels to go on now. I have also replaced all of the push buttons for larger ones. The original ones were the small push to make that looked like this Not long now until Christow!!!
  17. i haven't updated this for quite some time. I have been doing some work on the layout over the last few months, here are some update shots. I've added some ground cover and a few details to the side opposite the scrap yard. I've also started adding people and details Some switch stands Weathering to the fence I've also started painting the sides of the layout "Highland Green" but it's going to need a couple of coats, still plenty to do.....
  18. Do you mean one of these..... I bought mine from https://www.modeltrainstuff.com/ Out of stock now though, it's great to have a bit of pink on the layout
  19. Some very nice work there I look forward to seeing it at Wells freemo at the weekend. I agree with the comments above, this hobby is becoming more expensive and I'm finding that I need to be a bit more picky with what I buy and some of the stuff I'm keeping. Simon
  20. I have a number of covered hoppers from Athearn, Walthers and Intermountain where the etched walkway has lifted due to the way that metal and plastic expand at different rates. Can anyone recommend a suitable glue for these walkways that will flex a little? Thanks
