  1. I was hoping the bogie would have pickups having not seen it previously mentioned. The way it was done on the 2-4-2 tank was quite neat.
  2. I installed my Baxi Bermuda back boiler in 1985. Only fault I've had with it was in the early '90s when a coil in the gas valve thermocouple circuit went o/c. The coil itself not being available as a spare I managed to repair it. Still giving sterling service.
  3. Paid using the PayPal option. Order status 'Pending'.
  4. Ditto. I have never ordered from Rails before. I never had any email confirmation of my order.
  5. As long as they are not made with Far Eastern Cr@p like this from a local timber yard, flat one day like this the next
  6. What is the recommended viewing then?

  8. Try searching for 5.08mm pitch ones.

  10. Don't use Kernow Model Centre either. http://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/p/63838/371-184-Graham-Farish-Class-40-Disc-Headcode-40012-‘Aureol
  11. Another enquiry gives a bit of hope... "this line has been discontinued for the time being"
  12. It's not that I am after buying any from elsewhere, it's that I was noticing they were becoming scarce and I had seen nothing to say they were being discontinued. I have a small stock (9) of them left but I thought they would be something that would have always been available. For under £10 in the local hobby shop they were a good buy.
  13. Just had a message back from Dapol, they have been discontinued. Odd, they must have been a good seller as I can't find anywhere with stocks of them.
  14. Are Dapol still making these kits? Hattons used to stock loads of them, can't see any now.

  16. They could make the electricity used for charging a car a different colour, like diesel.
  17. Which are fine if your radio has bluetooth.
  18. Which would also rely on having a data connection for non FM stations.
  19. And I can't imagine a plumber would use 0.5mm 60/40 solder to sweat a joint in a water pipe.
  20. Neutrik Speakons are another useful connector. They are lockable, contacts shrouded preventing shorts, high current rating and the plugs have screw terminals.
